Sometimes a bit windy but always picturesque. Stopping at Pinetrees we had our own waterfront Boathouse to enjoy Happy Hour or a quiet moment with the moon and sun setting along with the various water activities.

The views of the mountain from the beach are outstanding. A lovely beach to walk along and paddle in the water

There are table and chairs and plenty of large trees to shelter under if the sun is too strong or it is raining. Just stunning

The main beach is the one to be to gaze at the views of the 2 mountains. Walking along the beach at low tide to see waht has washed up. Lots of shells and heart urchins to see. Snorkel or kayak when the waters are calmer than they were for us

Lord Howe Island offers spectacular walking trails with amazing vies of its stunning lagoon, twin peak mountains at the southern end and it's many bays and cliffs. While all trails are well marked don't underestimate the steep terrains on the hill climbs and the length of time to complete the walks. Wear appropriate walking attire and take water and a... More

Unspoilt , no rubbish anywhere. Beautiful white sands and the bluest water. Most of the time you have the beach to yourself and if you don't there is always another one close by.

There are a couple of options for boat tours. I enjoyed a two hour tour of the southern bay which stopped at four locations where I saw colourful fish, coral, turtles, sharks and a stingray. I wish I'd also taken the North Bay snorkel and turtle tour.

The lagoon beach is great, with one of the best features being the Lord Howe Environmental Tours operating at the CBD end of the beach. They hire kayaks etc. , but also do coral viewing and snorkeling tours which we took, and couldn't recommend highly enough. Its a great way to see the lagoon, and the coral and tropical fish,... The 2-hour glass bottom boat coral viewing and snorkelling trip operated by the Lord Howe Environmental Tours shop at the LHI's Lagoon Beach is an LHI must-do for anyone like me who love corals and snorkelling. My wish of meeting a 2-headed fish (wrasse), native to LHI was fulfilled by captain Ken who chose the right spot for snorkelling to... More
