Reminds me of the lagoons in Tahiti or Cook Islands. Beautiful. You can easily find your own spot on the beach. Cross Lagoon Road opposite the Museum and you have a great place for sunbathing and swimming with Mt Gower and Mt Lidgebird on your left.. Stunning

The snorkelling in the lagoon, the coral and the variety of fish. The bush walks through the palm trees. The weather and the warm water and the laid back environment

Hired a 2 person kayak for a couple of hours and enjoyed paddling about the lagoon. A little choppy but the kayak was very steady. We are a reasonably fit couple in our mid sixties well used to kayaking but a novice would feel safe. While paddling over the coral in Old Settlement Beach a turtle surfaced to add to... More

Snorkelling is superb from here and we loved Enrironmental tours friendly and knowledgable service to get us to the best sights. Didn't expect such varied and colourful coral and fish at LHI and so good to have so few other travellers around

Scenically beautiful (almost a cliche). Lovely for swimming. Kick off point for most water activities - kayaking, snorkel tours, round the island tour (usually).

Staying at Pine Trees Resort, made the Lagoon Beach an easy three minute walk from our room. Glorious sunsets, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling... and on and on. So much to do

Lagoon beach is where you can swim in the beautiful turquoise water, make arrangements to go fishing, snorkelling or touring with a boat company, have a picnic on the grass or take a walk along the beach and watch the birds.

Tranquil and stunning. Relax swimming in this crystal clear water or kayak to a remote beach for some beachcombing. Maybe kayak to the lagoon island for some solitude. So much to do and explore.

The lagoon is the base for the water activities so get out there and go diving, snorkelling, swimming, paddling. I did snorkelling, diving and it was unreal, you have to DO IT! Comet Hole unreal I suggest doing the specialised snorkelling tour
