The first time I fed the fish at Ned's Beach I got more than I bargained for. There were millions (yes, millions) of Kingfish, Silver Drummers and mullet right on the shoreline. I paid my $1 for fishfood from Ned's Beach shed, and duly strode in and fed them. There was a feeding frenzy, and I was literally swarmed by... More

One of the best beaches I've ever visited. Sea is so warm, clear and clean. Fish are in abundance. BBQs are available - both wood and gas and it's a beautiful place to spend an evening having dinner. Must do.

Apart from the 'stinkers' ...silver drummers that crowd around you and somewhat eerily try and bite your fingers when you snorkel - a bit like a pescatorial Hitchcock movie- this place is fabulous, almost impossible elsewhere to have a similar experience, walk off a beautiful beach and snorkel over a beautiful reef, no stingers crocs or sharks (well there are... Astounding to see fish in the breaking waves in ankle deep water. Neds' Beach is a lovely, safe beach with a beach shelter offering wetsuits, snorkels, flippers and special fish food. To stand in the water with fish flipping around your legs is quite something. Avoid holding the food in your fingers as they are likely to be nipped.

You must go to Neds beach, wear shorts and get in the water. The fish are amazing, take some dollar coins with you and buy the fish food, get yourself in the surf and feed them. It's a one off place.

This is such a beautiful beach with an amazing array of colourful fish who have been spoilt by the tourists feeding them. If you want to swim you will need to go out a little further past the fish.

This beach has both sandy and rocky areas. A well maintained grassed area and a shed to provide shelter if needed. A pellet machine for fish food, equipment for snorkelling etc for hire. A great spot.
