A beautiful clean beach with plentiful sea life and excellent coral for snorkelling. The king fish have gone alas but you can chase the (very small) Galapagos sharks around instead.

What a wonderful beach. Just amazing. We went snorkeling there and it was so beautiful. Fishes of all colors. Amazing. It is very easy to go to Ned's Beach, I recommend going by bike, if possible. Take your snorkeling gears with you and spend your afternoon there and be amazed by all you can see. Beautiful. Amazing.

Pellets are available to hand feed wild fish who seem to be just as friendly as the other Lord Howe Island residents

Wonderful spot! You snorkel right off the beach into the most amazing coral reef. The reef around Lord Howe is even better than on the Great Barrier Reef and that's saying something! Great for picnics at Neds.

Picture fishes swimming between your ankles right at the shoreline and then picture one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Now, just go to Ned's beach and experience it in real life.

The beach is best known for the ability to feed a wide variety of fish, standing in the shallows, with a $1 cup of fish food. There are barbecues, tables, Terns to see (birds) and wonderful snorkelling to be had, also a toilet and changing room facility and a shelter if you get caught on a rainy day. A nice... More

Every time we went to the beach on Lord Howe we felt we had it too ourselves most of the time. Only complaint was that the water was just a tad too cold to jump straight on in! (you can tell one is having a pretty great time when that is the only complaint!)

We had a great time at Neds beach. Its $1 to feed the fish which is well worth doing. When you get in the sea at the right spot they all come over, knowing whats coming! They are very friendly, perhaps over-friendly, swimming right against your feet to get their food. The beach was normally fairly quiet and we snorkeled... More
