This is such a beautiful beach with an amazing array of colourful fish who have been spoilt by the tourists feeding them. If you want to swim you will need to go out a little further past the fish.

This beach has both sandy and rocky areas. A well maintained grassed area and a shed to provide shelter if needed. A pellet machine for fish food, equipment for snorkelling etc for hire. A great spot.

Ned's is ranked as the cleanest beach in Australia - and it is absolutely crystal clear and seriously beautiful. Get up early and get done there to have the fish swarming around your ankles waiting to be fed some fish pellets (available by a $1 coin into the dispenser at the beach shed). Great for a snorkel - again, you... More

The feel of snorkelling in a giant aquarium with the fish swimming around you Fish feeding was incredible. Resist the temptation to pat the fish.

Apart from being a very beautiful beach, the abundance of fish and their eagerness to be fed, make this an absolute must-see during every Lord Howe visit. Fish food is available from a dispenser for $1. Do not be put-off by the meagre number of pellets you receive as it will be more than adequate to have the fish in... More

I loved feeding all the fish which surfed in with every wave. Swimming in the water was lovely and very safe. Snorkelling equipment was available on an honesty basis.

Have the exotic fish swim around you legs whilst you feed them on this untouched beach. Snorkeling in the most southern coral reef will be something you won't forget in a long time and make you want to bring the whole family back for an experience to remember.

This beach was picturesque, bbq facilities and an honesty policy for beach hire equipment such as paddle boards. Walk into the water ankle deep and hundreds of colourful fish and kingfish swim around your ankles so you can feed them by hand! amazing experience!

Staying at Lorhiti Lodge provided easy access along a private path to Ned's Beach. We swam each day and weren't disappointed in the range of fish sighted and the quality of the underwater photos taken. We took our own snorkeling gear but you can also hire equipment from the hut on the beach (reasonable rates/ honor system).
