Great for a getaway. Can do as much or as little as you like. Just sitting on the beach is great. Good shopping, great restaurants and many to choose from.

Byron Bay has great beaches, great sights (and surrounds) and a great vibe about it. I first visited about 3 years ago for a day and each time I visit I fall in love with it a little more. It carries a little of something for nearly everyone - a place to unwind from the stresses of work (make sure... More

Beautiful beach, great sightseeing, interesting shops, good variety of eating places, easy to walk. Still has the "hippy" era flavour but accommodation preferences are on a very wide scale from very basic to ultra comfy. Lovely little town to visit. Lovely people, all ages but thankfully not the "schoolies" age groups.

Byron is the perfect town to stay at, a mix of relax and partying. In Byron you can do everything and at the same time nothing, from sunbathing at the beach to surfing incredible waves has all you want. For a little of adventure, I would recommend you to go by bike to the lighthouse, has an excellent view of... More

A lovely area to visit with many attractions close by. The town itself has a variety of shops as well as supermarkets, and of course the Byron Bay hotel. There is a beaut Esplanade to walk along and you can also drive along the coast and take in the scenery.

Recently had the pleasure of visiting Byron Bay. WOW. I've heard about this place from many of my friends and doubted it could live up to their exultations!!! I found it to be lovely and laid back. We had lunch at Fishheads, fabulous. Walked downtown and lots of retail that should cater to all tastes.
