Our accommodation - At the Beach 92 Lawson Street - was in an excellent location. Allowed us to walk to shops, then to walk to a wedding ceremony and reception. We were also able to walk along the paths to the beach and Lighthouse easily.

10km south of Byron Bay there are two secluded beaches, Whites and Kings Beach. Hard to find but worth the effort of walking down the stepped track to the sand from the small car park at the top.

While Bryron Bay's beach is unquestionably beautiful, the town and beach are both ridiculously busy, noticeably run down, and the overall atmosphere is definitely not family-friendly.
