Byron Bay has a glorious beach, pretty drives, a surprisingly average nightlife, generally under average and over- priced restaurants, and interesting locals if you can find them amidst the literally millions of tourists that flood Australia's most easterly village each year. Once a quiet surfing spot, then a hippy village absorbing the overspill from the Nimbin hinterland, Byron is now... More

Great for a getaway. Can do as much or as little as you like. Just sitting on the beach is great. Good shopping, great restaurants and many to choose from.
