There are quite a lot of steps on this walk so not so great if you have problems with knees etc. I enjoyed this walk and it took approximately an hour one way. There's a really great view from the Lighthouse when you get there and you can spot whales and dolphins from up there too. It's the most Easternly... More

One of my favourite places in the world. When I lived in Byron, I would start at the Carpark near Byron beach cafe & walk on the track near the Pass & Wategoes. Then after you reach the lighthouse, keep walking down the road, not the bush path (too many snakes!). Just gorgeous.

We rode bikes from the Byron Bay township to the base of this lighthouse trail, and then walked the rest of the way. It was so pretty and we saw lots of birds and animals, and got some great views of the beach.

A beautiful walk offering spectacular views! Lots of whale and dolphin watching along the way (we went during the season). It's worth waking up early to see the sunrise, but also fantastic during the day. One of the loveliest coastal walks I've ever done!

Who needs a gym when you can walk up Byron Lighthouse, make it as easy or hard as you wish, taking in the scenery of the bay and the coastline of the the most easterly point in Australia. Walk or run, almost guaranteed to see dolphins and whales [when in season], and set the mood for a great day.

Absolutely wonderful experience walking up the steps to the lighthouse, along the seaside and then descending along the bush path. From June to September whales can be seen traveling past the coastline first up north to Hervey Bay to give birth and later on returning with their young. It is fantastic all times of the year. I walk the path... More

Wonderful even in June, we saw dolphins feeding off this rocky path. Easy trail with some stairs then a lovely easy walk to the end.Take your camera
