The views from the Lighthouse were amazing - we saw dolphins and large sea turtles swimming below. The trail is a great way to explore further and a good workout.

Great walk from Byron Bay all the way round to the lighthouse, can also loop back around to Byron but I chose to walk back get same route. Get to see Julian Rocks, most easterly point in Australia, light house and marine life if you watch closely enough ! Must do walk when in Byron Bay

We love this walk. It gives a great cross section of the Byron Bay Lighthouse and headland area. A moderate walk as far as intensity goes with beautiful views, especially on a good day. We often drive down from the Gold Coast to do this walk then have breakfast afterwards. A must do if it's your first visit to Byron... More

I loved walking to the lighthouse and catching views of surfers and swimmers, then walking down the other trail through magnificent stands of bush. My husband and I had the bush trail to ourselves. It is a beautifully managed walking trail and highly recommended for day trippers.

The Lighthouse Trail is one of the best coastal walks in Australia. Well worth the physical exertion o matter what level of fitness you have. An opportunity to see whales passing by on their migration both north and south depending on the season. It is just a lovely walk to do in all weather conditions if you like having a... More

We decided to walk the trail from Main Beach to the Cape Byron light house, which is a 4 km round trip. Access is either from Bay Street via an excellent path, or from the beach at the headland, where you can join the trail. The walk up is well constructed with wooden walk ways and properly built stairs in... More
