TAKING THE FREE TOUR OF THE LIGHTHOUSE

A very worthwhile walk. The volunteers working at the lighthouse were very knowledgeable and the experience was excellent

The walk up to Lighthouse offered spectacular views at every turn. We watched dolphins swimming with the surfers and had a break at the top looking out at the view and a snack from the cafe, watched as hangliders took off from the top and walked through the rainforest on the way down.

Oh, the Byron Bay - the place, where we first time saw koala sleeping in the eucalyptus tree at the city centre. Actually we didn't saw it at first, but friendly australian showed it to us! Anyways, of course we came to Byron Bay to visit the most eastern Australia point. We parked our car near the visitor information center... More

Absolutely amazing views on the walk and you can find many more untouched pristine beaches to go back to another time. You also come across the eastern most point of Australia on the trail which I did not expect which was a definite added bonus and obvious selfie opportunity. The walk took a little longer then I anticipated, about two... More

Didn't actually complete the whole trip as I was sweating like Shergar after the Derby but we went along the boardwalk with it's many steps to the point of exhaustion in the heat until we were almost underneath the Cape. You need to be fit, and probably Australian, to do this justice. Spectacular.

It was creation at its best ! Should not be missed. We did the tour of the lighthouse for 1/2 hr. The guild was informative and friendly. Views were amazing. Pods of Dolphins, turtles seen from top of trail. Definite must do.

This was the best hike/trail we did in the area. It was really hot on the day we walked, take plenty of water and you'll be fine. We saw 3 pods of dolphins and 4 turtel, made it all worth while.
