Great views and amazing beach. In the right season in a good day you can enjoy the magnificent whales on their way to the north or back.

We walked this on a hot day and it was easy to walk and beautiful scenery along the way. We even saw koalas close up. Definitely recommend it.

Park down at Clarkes Beach and walk up from there. It is a great walk and the last of the free parking that I found. The views from the Lighthouse are great and the walking trail is easier from the top heading down. Takes a couple of hours but worth it.

The walk to the light house is very easy and offers a great view of the eastern coast. Come in the middle of the year and the chances of seeing humpback whales are almost certain.

If you love a good walk, scenery & some great photos, this is the place to go. As soon as you get to the lighthouse you have three sixty degree views of Byron Bay. Be sure to walk all the way to the end of the walk and get a photo at the most northerly spot in Australia. You might... More

You have to visit the lighthouse if you are in Byron. The best way is to walk up. Start at Clarke's Beach or Captain Cook lookout. We prefer to go up the steep way and come down with the ocean view - finish on a relaxing note. To do that - cross over to Lee Place and take the track... More

A beautiful walk and you get to see some lovely houses along the way as well as one of the most perfect views of an never ending ocean on your way up to mainland Australia's most easterly point. Once up there is a caffe and an souvenir store and of course a stunning view overlooking The Marin reserv Julian Rocks.... More

Excellent coastal views to Mt Warning from the lighthouse and along the circuit - with birds, goanas, and dolphin sightings. Interesting historical info at the lighthouse. Good uphill, downhill excercise.

Make sure you take the walk through the 'jungle' and look out for the beautiful Tallow beach of your way up to the lighthouse. One of my Byron highlights!

You can't go to Byron Bay without checking out the Lighthouse Trail. The view is just spectacular, and I was lucky to see a bush wallaby on my walk, also enjoying the sea view! Be aware that parking is charged - you can park at the very bottom for free and enjoy quite a walk up. About 3/4 up there... More
