The lighthouse area is a very nice place to visit. Well maintained and organized. The walking tracks are very nice. We saw lots of dolphins during our walk. It is something for the whole family.

When in Byron Bay you must take a trip up to the lighthouse. The view back to Byron township and over Wategos Beach is breathtaking. You can watch the surfers and if your lucky, as we were, watch dolphins frolicking in the waves. We watched a pod of about 70 or so. A pristine, beautiful coastline that is pure magic.

Cape Byron is a must see. There is a $7 fee for parking or you can park at the bottom of the cape and walk up. The view is great with friendly staff that are more than happy to share story's of the lighthouse and ships that have been wrecked near Byron Bay. The little cafe has great coffee.

If you like beach holidays the Byron Bay area has lots to offer. Cape Byron itself is a superb lookout to many of the beaches in the area. There is a pay and display car park but if you don't mind a slightly longer walk continue round the one-way system and park for free. If you are feeling really energetic... More

Run by volunteers and an excellent experience. Our guide Sandy well versed on the lights history and great to get up inside & see how it works. Thanks to the volunteers for making this happen!
