The coastal walk gave a great view and tests your legs and lungs a bit but average fitness will get you there. Plenty of spots to stop for a breather. You'll be well rewarded with the view at the top. The less-fit can drive to the top.

I must confess upfront that I have a bit of a thing for lighthouses; Cape Byron Lighthouse was no exception. The cape is the most eastern point of mainland Australia and has amazing powerful energy; I was admiring the lighthouse from outside when a voluntary tour guide had no trouble talking me into joining in on the next lighthouse tour... Take a trip to the lighthouse. The views are breathtaking. Join in on one of the daily tours of inside the lighthouse .. climb the stairs to the top for even more amazing views from right up and down the coast to Mt Warning and beyond. This working lighthouse is beautiful and fascinating.

One of the most beautiful and breathtaking views of both the ocean and surrounding forest. A very quiet place and a lovely walk or drive.

Such a perfect place to visit! The lighthouse its self just looks like a lighthouse but the view of the ocean surrounding it is just so simple but beautiful! We took the track down to the beach and what a beautiful and clean beach it was! It was almost magical! Although it looked way to rough to swim in the... More

You can drive, but hiking around the perimeter of the point up to and down from the lighthouse is awesome. Great views and photo opportunities at the top!!

Very pretty trail with lovely views and beaches to explore but make sure you charge all of your devices and bring plenty of food and water. I walked the trail on a whim with my sister and when both our phone batteries died we got very lost, even with a printed map! The mild panic that ensued whilst we tried... More

Our beautiful lighthouse on the edge of Byron s cliffs was lit up in a spectacular bright red color last night. I would love to know what it was in aid of. Someone said Aides? It is well worth a visit but even more so last night.

Tried walking to this location from our hotel, but it was too far. We walked about 1/2 way and then turned around. Lots of uphill climbing and we had taken a wrong turn (or two). We ended up driving up close to the lighthouse, just a 10-15 minute walk up. Lovely views from this location. A few weeks earlier and... More
