A must do when in Byron Bay, at least if you like spectacular views of beaches, jumping whales, playing dolphins and a gorgeous landscape.

The Lighthouse volunteers were really friendly and had a vast amount of knowledge between them. The artefacts in the museum were really interesting.

You honestly would struggle to find better views than the Lighthouse. Sadly we didn't see a whale or dolphins, but the views made up for the $7 car park fee and parking mayhem. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant views from the lighthouse in all directions. Also got to see a huge pod of 20+ dolphins playing in the waves below and also a whale going by! Awesome!

Great views saw whales and dolphins. Had pleasant afternoon tea here. Parking was problematic perhaps because of school holidays. For the elderly this could be a problem and I can't remember seeing disabled parking, however there was a man directing cars and I think he would help out in special circumstances.

This is a must if you are visiting Byron Bay, if you have time and enough strength walk all the way up to the lighthouse otherwise you can drive. However there are limited parking and fees for parking. The View from the top is amazing, there is also a cafe shop (cash only and no ATM close by) where you... More

Awesome location to watch all the whales and see the beautiful landscape. Did not like the rip off cost of parking though. Come on Byron Bay, reduce ALL your car park fees!

Went in school holidays and once you get past the lower carpark there is no going back and at the top it was so congested with a gridlock of cars. There is a $8 charge per car at the top

I only wanted to visit the lighthouse to get a souvenir having visited the area before - parking was impossible so I jumped out of the car - to go to the shop to find it was closed for a lunch break !!! On market day and with school holidays - such a busy time but no service

No visit to Byron is complete without a trip to this famous lighthouse. The volunteer staff are very friendly and are happy to answer any questions. They also run free tours. Top tip, take some pictures and tell people you visited the lighthouse from Round The Twist. It isn't really but they'll never know.
