Take some time and be sure to tour the lighthouse. You'll learn some fascinating history about the area, how lighthouses work, and the view is amazing. Our guide was very knowledgable and his clearly well rehearsed and oft-used jokes were all part of his charm. If you're lucky, you'll see some dolphins!

We did the lighthouse tour and it's well worth the small donation. The view from up there at Australia's most eastern point is breathtaking.

View from the sea cliff near the Lighthouse is simply one of the best you can experience in Australia. Bryon bay coast is surrounded by Whales, Dolphins, turtles etc. Unfortunately our kayaking trip got cancelled due to rough sea conditions. If you are lucky you can witness the incredible sight of Humpback Whale breach.

Make sure that you have a good look at this lighthouse. Views are very nice but go for a walk down towards the most Eastern Site of Mainland Australia. A few steps along the way!

This is a must do, including a walk to the easternmost point of Australia just a few minutes from the lighthouse, if you are in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area. The lighthouse has a free little museum inside outlining the history of the lighthouse and shipwrecks. The walks to the lighthouse and then to the easternmost point have outstanding scenery since... Visited here last week and we were blessed with a crystal clear day for our walk up to the lighthouse from where we followed the cliff route around the various beaches back to where we'd parked our bikes. It is a truly breathtaking walk with new views at each turn, each surpassing the last. Unfortunately the lighthouse itself was undergoing... More

The Byron Bay lighthouse is an iconic part of an iconic town. The walk is fairly steep and steps can be a problem for the less able bodied but the views are outstanding, both of Tallow Beach and the bay itself. Steps can be avoided by walking on the (one way) road, still steep but easier on the knees! Watch... More

How ridiculous that you can't walk to the top with your dog. How does Byron Bay expect visitors with their dog to visit this attraction? Honestly what do they think will happen????
