Loved the view, make sure you have a bottle of water and sun screen and hat if sunny. A very good work out for the fit, but you can do it at your own pace. Views are beautiful! If your lucky you might see some Dolphins or Wales!

We spent a sunny Friday afternoon watching the whales and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Lucky enough to be just in time for a tour of the lighthouse including a walk to the top and the story of the former workers at the lighthouse. A must do when visiting Byron!

Beautiful lighthouse and view throughout walking trail. You can see dolphins and whales. The light house tour is free.

What could be better ... an early morning breakfast of individual quiches, small pies, croissants and pastries, fruit, scones with jam and cream and hot beverages ... served with a friendly smile and sitting outside looking at the most incredible views ... maybe if lucky enough, even a passing whale or dolphin ?? A short and easy walk from the... More

The views from the lighthouse are spectacular and especially if there when the whales are passing. The area is well maintained and it is an easy, gentle walk from the carpark to the lighthouse itself. We also had a light breakfast at the café there which can be recommended.

The easternmost point of all of Australia, see the sun rise before anyone else! Often a place to spot migrating humpbacks as they pass below the cape. See the beaches and Julian Rocks. Worth the visit when visiting Byron Bay.

The only down side: parking is not really available unless you wanna pay 7 AUD for 1 hr. We did as it was drizzling and so we didnt wanna walk all the way up to the light house. The walk is certainly nice when it is sunny! So go there and enjoy. It is worth it

We were so fortunate to see a pod of whales while we were visiting the lighthouse. So exciting to see so many of these magnificent creatures, and although some way out we could clearly see water spouts, fins and tails, as they made their way past this most easterly point of Australia.

We were lucky to visit during the humpback whales migration season and from the vantage point of the lighthouse we saw many frolicking in the surrounding bays. There were also pods of dolphins and turtles. But even without the wildlife you are guaranteed to enjoy the gorgeous vistas.
