No visit to Byron is complete without a trip to this famous lighthouse. The volunteer staff are very friendly and are happy to answer any questions. They also run free tours. Top tip, take some pictures and tell people you visited the lighthouse from Round The Twist. It isn't really but they'll never know.

We had a great treat watching migrating whales off Cape Byron from in front of the lighthouse. Beautiful vistas out to see, beaches, spectacular coastline. Great vantage points all along the cape.

If you're in Byron, you can't miss out on this attraction. The lighthouse itself is impressive and the views are exquisite. Don't plan on driving up there though. Parking was impossible. There are about 20 spaces for what must have been a bazillion cars. Park at the bottom and and walk. It's worth it.

Well worth visiting if you are in Byron Bay. You can usually see whales and dolphins. There are some telescopes and auto focus binoculars you can use - but they cost money and some are broken (so BYO). You can walk around to the Eastern Most point of Australia as well. There is a cafe up the top but we... More

Do a free tour, they are great and let you use their binoculars :) you could see heaps of whales from the top! The lighthouse itself is interesting and 113 years old!

Plenty of great spots to immerse yourself in the views. It's a working lighthouse, with tours available and a mini museum. Also the lighthouse keepers premises can be walked through. With all the walks you can do, allow a few hours. The only catch ? Parking. Does the word "nightmare" mean anything to you ! My tip, pull up somewhere... More

A must-see when you go to Byron. Parking is $7 unless you want to walk from town. Go early or late to get a good look without the crowds.

This is a must do when in Byron Bay! You can see for miles across land and sea. It truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. If you park just a little bit down the hill, outside the gate, the parking is free and it's quite an easy, invigorating walk! Don't miss this attraction!

Either pay $4 hour parking below the lighthouse or $7 to drive to the top. Not cheap!! You can walk to the lighthouse but while much is on good paths/ boardwalk, some is on the edge of a road...and fairly rough going.

Take a walk one early morning up to this wonderful lighthouse. It is well worth the walk and it is common to see dolphins and wales in the waters below. Great place to take photos as your on the most eastern point of Australia. I always take the walk and visit whenever I am in Byron.
