A fantastic view of the coast and hinterland. Great spot to watch the hang gliders too. Beautiful easy walk with amazing views all around you. Well worth a visit

We had planned to make the trek up to the lighthouse, however due to the weather and my pregnant wife...clearly we were driving up the lighthouse! Thankfully for those whom may not be able to walk the full distance up the trail, you can drive right up to the top with the caveat that you will be approached by the... More

We went to the lighthouse on a crappy overcast day as the cyclone in QLD was hovering making the skys awful. However the views were magnificent and I would definitely recommend everyone check this out. We saw 2 schools of Dolphins swimming and even though it was grey we could still see way out over Byron. It was a beautiful... More

This is a place you have to see when you are in Byron. Go there early morning for sunrise. An unbelievable experience when nobody is there.

It is really worth to do the full loop walk through the rainforest to the lighthouse and back around! It is a little steep in parts but well worth the trek up and the view is amazing. We spotted Dolphins on the way down and rewarded our selves with a big lazy lunch at the Beach restaurant.

It's not everyday that you can say you have been to the furthest ends of a continent, so its well worth it; not only for that but the spectacular views... and the little walk down to the most easterly point of Australia. From here the lighthouse looks magnificent against the sky with its interesting light which seems so different down... More

The lighthouse area speaks for itself. to much to talk about with to many surprises. Just go. Lived there for 7 years and always had something new to show. Parking is a problem so get a ride or walk from the pass if you are up to it.

This is compulsory for every visitor to Byron Bay, not only because it represents the most easterly point of Australia, but because there is an excellent 6km (roughly) loop from The Pass Carpark. Walk over the headland to Watego's Beach, then up the hill to the Lighthouse, but then keep going back down through the National Park (not the main... More

As all previous views have stated this is a must! Words cannot describe the spectacular views from up here. There is a long 2 hour walk you can do which we decided against due to the heat. It would be worth doing early morning but plan ahead. Sunscreen, water etc. we just walked down from the lighthouse to little Watego's... More

Amazing views and a great little walk down to the most easterly point of australia. The staff were super helpful, we brought some seafood takeaway to eat there and the staff recommended a beautiful picnic table to eat at which had some amazing views. No fee for the light house but there is a parking fee. Great way to spend... More
