The light house is a good place to eat and park at a cost but very relaxing popular spot to visit you can walk up there for excercise or drive up the and walk around.

The colours of the sky and ocean are always incredible from here. Tours of the lighthouse up close including a little history are a must. The cafe is very handy. Go all the way to the most Eastern tip of Australia - not the sign - the actual rocks at the bottom of the walk on the coast line. Look... More

There are regular tours which are run by volunteers. You get access up the stairs to the top of the lighthouse...they have a balcony that runs right around the lighthouse providing the most beautiful views of Byron bay. Highly recommended and only costs a donation. There seems to be a local pod of dolphins which we have seen every time... More

Wonderful views may include surfers, whales, dolphins, rays and other sea-life. You can walk up the stairs if you are fit, and have a wonderful coastal view of Byron Bay. Or you can drive part of the way up, there and pay for parking near the top. Then there are still some steep stairs to get to the actual lighthouse,... More

The walk from the lower car parks is a bit challenging but worth it. The location of the lighthouse and the views from it are spectacular. This is a very popular location.

I am told this is the most easterly point of mainland Australia. Awesome, sea so clear and reflective of the sky, on my visit, beautiful blues ands greens. The walk is invigorating, challenging in some spots for my old knees but manageable with a few stops for breathing. The youngsters bounced up, local folks use the track for fitness, cardio... More

Fantastic views.. A must do in Byron. Parking at the top attracts a fee and is busy in the middle of the day. The view of waters beach is excellent. Hard climb but worth it.

The lighthouse is near to mainland Australia's most easterly point. The headland is spectacular with views of beaches to the north and south. There are wonderful lighthouse keepers' cottages available for holiday renting and the path leads to the beach. This area is amazing summer or winter, rain or sunshine. On holidays, the lighthouse if often open, which makes an... More
