A walk from Wategos beach up to Cape Byron lighthouse is a great way to see the bay but also the best spot to see the whales when they are on their seasonal migration. At the peak time you can see so many of them plus dolphins, turtles and other marine life that you can spend hours here enjoying the... More

On a clear day you can see forever in any direction. the views are breathtaking to say the least. It is a slight climb to the Lighthouse from the car park, which I might add will cost you $7 to park and only if there is a space available, once you are there you can take the walk down to... More

It is said be to be most eastern point of Australia mainland. Amazing view. If you are lucky, you can watch whales and dolphins very closely!

A must do when in Byron Bay, at least if you like spectacular views of beaches, jumping whales, playing dolphins and a gorgeous landscape.

The Lighthouse volunteers were really friendly and had a vast amount of knowledge between them. The artefacts in the museum were really interesting.

You honestly would struggle to find better views than the Lighthouse. Sadly we didn't see a whale or dolphins, but the views made up for the $7 car park fee and parking mayhem. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant views from the lighthouse in all directions. Also got to see a huge pod of 20+ dolphins playing in the waves below and also a whale going by! Awesome!

Great views saw whales and dolphins. Had pleasant afternoon tea here. Parking was problematic perhaps because of school holidays. For the elderly this could be a problem and I can't remember seeing disabled parking, however there was a man directing cars and I think he would help out in special circumstances.

This is a must if you are visiting Byron Bay, if you have time and enough strength walk all the way up to the lighthouse otherwise you can drive. However there are limited parking and fees for parking. The View from the top is amazing, there is also a cafe shop (cash only and no ATM close by) where you... More

Awesome location to watch all the whales and see the beautiful landscape. Did not like the rip off cost of parking though. Come on Byron Bay, reduce ALL your car park fees!
