I used to live in Byron Bay and walked to lighthouse on a daily basis. It is so beautiful up there especially watching the sunrise and when the humpback whales are migrating up or down the coast. One of my favourite places to be. There is a fee to park up there if you drive up.

The views are spectacular and it was great to have a break at the top with a drink looking out over the ocean

The lighthouse alltogether with the most eastern point of Australia of course are the highlights of the Byron Bay. Though if you are not well fitted and get tired quickly better use car, because the walking distance from the city centre is quite long and tiring especially in the hot weather. Once you get to the lighthouse, you can enjoy... More

You can drive up to the lighthouse, but it's better to spend 2-3 hours walking through the forest from Byron Bay to the lighthouse and then back via the beach. It was a stunning and varied walk. It is well signposted from the town and easy to follow. The views are spectacular at every turn. Make sure to take plenty... More

If you go to Byron Bay you need to take a trip to the lighthouse. It has gorgeous views. Take the time to walk the path to the most Northern point. Looking from the path you can see sharks, dolphins and sea turtles. Don't forget to take a pic at the end of the walk and enjoy the most brilliant... More

A good walk up to the lighthouse with views down Tallow Beach. The tours of the lighthouse (with cost a dontation) are very interesting with an even better view from the top of the lighthouse. It's also a great place to see the sunset, but if parking near the lighthouse, note that the gates close at sunset.

Take the walk up from Wategos beach. This is an iconic thing to do while in Byron. Like Mecca. The view from the top is world class. The lighthouse is beautifully preserved with a small museum. Ice cream and coffee at the top. Souvenirs as well. Go for it!
