The walk all the way to the top is well worth it. The views on the way were a nice distraction from the stairs. Lots of photo opportunities on the way

Some nice views from here, and it is also the furthest point East in Australia. It's also free but a bit of a trek to get to. I drove and the car park was quite full so I was left waiting for a space

Loved the lighthouse. You have to get there early as parking is limited. It costs $7 but it's worth it. Saw whales, dolphins, turtles and shark and a large lizard. Amazing!

We walked there along the beach road on a really hot day and did almost get a bit frustrated since we had no idea what to expect. But it was totally worth it! The view was breathtaking. The most important experience for us was to see the dolphins, turtles and even some sort of stingray or something in the amazingly... More

The lighthouse is a great landmark, but it's the location that makes this place a must-see. The views are incredible. Be aware that you do need to pay for parking at the lighthouse, in cash. We went at the end of May, and were lucky enough to see a number of whales passing by in the late afternoon. We waited... More

to stand on the most easterly point of Australia was great and an uncanny feeling. The history, the view of the passing whales and the overall ambiance has to be experienced

This is a great spot to see all of Byron Bay from above, and if in season see whales and dolphins. Be patient - it pays off (I got to see a breach - pretty awesome!
