A great place for backpackers who want to get away from it all & yet be within walking distance to the bright lights . The best little beach in Byron ! I used to visit every year with my children now we all live here !

Nice spot, queieter than the main area of Byron. A few rips it appeared so be careful if swimming. Go to the main beach and swim between the flags

Being avid nudists for over 30 years, my wife and I regularly drive from the Gold Coast to Belongil Beach (1 hr 15 mins) just to be able to lie on a great beach and swim in fairly safe waters without being hindered by clothes. Belongil Beach is just right for being yourself and enjoying what nature has to offer.... More

Its beautiful, clean and with plenty of space not crowded. Bring plenty of sun screen & a brolli! The tide was great for swimming and not too strong while we were there. Though this can change....

We stayed at East on Byron which is right opposite Belongil Beach. It's much quieter than the main Byron Bay town beach area but just as beautiful. The beach stretches on for miles and the water is clear and lovely. Really pretty near sunset. Would recommend the short 1 - 1.5km walk or drive out to check out a lesser... More

Nice and quiet end of the beach. Clear water, nice waves, and not too busy. An easy walk down to the main beaches and town centre as well!

Uncrowded, dog friendly, love the honor system for umbrellas on the beach. Close to cafes. Best cafe Belongil Tree Cafe.

The water is awesome. The sun is nice. Just stand with your back to the waves and let them hit your back. The best water massage I have received in ages. :) Just be a little careful about parking the car. Read the instruction carefully.

We stayed at Absolutely Belongil Eco-lodge just behind the dunes at Belongil Beach - where we watched the lights on Byron on a balmy night. Just off to one side of the centre of Byron, this beach is swimmable and not crowded... yet an easy walk to all the action.
