A beach in Byron where you can have space to yourself, who would have thought! Great for walking, relaxing, swimming, surfing and watching.

This stretch of sand running north from the main centre is really worth the effort to visit - the regions better known beaches ( Main, Clarkes , Tallows and Wategoes ) get the plaudits regularly but the one is so peaceful .. Take a walk past the bead houses about 10 mins out of town - idyllic!

Belongil is left of the main beach, and less crowded. Being dog friendly expect to see some happy pouches running around. You can spot The Wreck , part of a shipwrecked ship, at the edge of the surf. Its a great beach for surfing and swimming.

Love this beach - dog friendly and the best coffee shop nearby - The Tree House which is also open for brekky lunch and dinner and has local bands playing great music in the evening,

Sunrise and sunset colours are great here, with Mount Warning and the hinterland hills as a backdrop. This is probably my favourite spot in Byron.

Belongil Beach is quite simply stunning. I have witnessed The best sunrises in my life on this beach. Had some great food at the two restaurants across from the beach and watched the dolphins play while enjoying a morning walk.

Love this end of Byron as it is more relaxed out of the main throng of the Byron shopping centre. It is also dog friendly and has a couple of great easy going cafes. There is even a backpackers accom there.

Belongil Beach is one of Byron's best beaches. I won't say a secret as that would be spoiling it as a secret. Great walk either from Byron to Belongil or vice versa, but upon arriving at the Childe St, reserve beach access head across leave the beach & walk across the Rd to Byron Beach Resort, where you'll find the...
