We visited in July, very interesting tour, tour guide Patricia was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. It last just over an hour seeing the various processes then you move on to taste about 7/8 different beers. Then you head to the bar/restaurant to exchange the tokens you are given for 2 half pints of your choice or a... More

An excellent tour of the brewery. The guide, Tracey, was knowledgeable and gave an informed talk about the history of the brewery. Then we went up to the top and worked our way down, each stage in the brewing process being explained clearly at each level. The staff were brewing that day, which made it more interesting, lots to see... More

After a short break to Cornwall which we cut short due to bad accommodation. We popped in to the brewery on the way home. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had a walk around and despite being close to closing time there was no rush to get us out the door. Tasting samples of a great range of... More

Drove an hour on a wet Tuesday morning during school term time only to be told we were not able to do the tour until the following afternoon. To be fair to them, I did find a comment at the bottom of their website recommending booking on advance but this was certainly not mentioned in the printed advert we had.... More

We had been here many years ago and found the place fascinating and authentic. It still is, but has certainly been modernized. We took the tour with a knowledgeable guide, Nick. We walked all over the brewery, got a lot of history, and learned about the process and products. At the end, we used our "free" samples and stayed for... More

Unfortunately we were unable to go on a tour as ideally you need to pre book in advance as the tours are restricted in numbers. saying this our visit was still enjoyable, the museum is open to all and the food in the restaurant/bar is of an exceptionally high standard with all food cooked using locally sourced products. The staff... More

The brewery has a very nice restaurant and shop. Off course you must joint the 90 minutes tour. The lady of the tour is very enthusiastic and charming. We visit the whole brewery. It is both fun and interesting. After the tour you can taste several types of beer. Mind you to make reservations in advance.

I strongly recommend the St Austell Brewery tour, which lasts around 90 minutes and takes your through the whole brewing process as well as the company's history. It remains a family business and you get really close to the action, unlike some big corporation tours. Our guide (Nick) was entertaining and knowledge and the tasting at the end was an... More
