Called in here on a miserable rainy day after leaving Truro and looking to explore the area. The tide was in so didn't see the vast expanses of sand. The Guy's & Gal's however were enjoying themselves in the surf. RNLI in attendance down at the waters edge. The town seemed to have a good selection of independent retailers, none... More

This beach offers something for you to smile about all year through. We often visit in the winter and at times can be one of only a handful of people enjoying the vast open space. A favourite for our family on Boxing Day. In the summer it is transformed into a holiday spot to be remembered. Quite tidal though so... More

Perranporth is Definitely one of the better beaches in Cornwall complete with the town adjacent, plenty of little tourist shops. Cars parks around, pay and display type. Lots of cafes. Take your sun cream.

3 miles of the softest sand I've come across. Beautiful and so much to do for a tiny location. This is one of those untouched gems - independent shops with no big chains (except convenience / food type stores and off licence). Great facilities, RNLI lifeguards on duty (when we were there) and beach officers picking up rubbish and looking... More

The beach was lovely but I don't think dogs should be allowed on in the summer months [weeing an pooing] when there's little children running and playing in the sand.

On the plus side (and there are many positives) this beach is incredibly beautiful. At low tide over two miles of golden sand with spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs and coastline. Although the riptide can be a little trecherous, the waves are great for both surfers and bodyboarders alike and the beach is always patrolled by lifeguards.... More
