Great open space and beautiful sandy beach. We took our dogs this week and the beach was nearly empty. This is our favourite beach around Cornwall and can't recommend it highly enough.

We travel to Cornwall and this is by far the best beach. The Waterhole pub is set actually ON the beach, there are plenty of local shops and amenities just off it, the car park is right next to the beach, as are the toilets and the beach is at street level so you don't have to walk down cliff... This is a popular spot with surfers and tourists and people who love beautiful beaches. The sand is golden and stretches on and on; the sea was calm and sapphire blue on the day we visited. It was also very peaceful and uncrowded on a sunny weekday in May. We found parking on the street.

Good big beach which just be sure on when the tide will change as it comes in quite fast. Parking is close and reasonably priced with restaurants nearby.

Huge beach where the sea appears miles away. Beach car park always full during October half term and wandering round the town beside the beach you would think you had walked into a surfers haven as everywhere their were bodies walking around in wetsuits and carrying boards. Not ideal for kayaking as waves looked very choppy but perfect if you... More

as stated in the title, this beach seems to be never ending. It is a very long beach and brilliant for a nice long dog walk

Lovely beach with nice views, ideal for Surfing. Dogs loved running along the beach, lots of friendly dog walkers, families and surfers. Good view of what my partner called the 'Goonie Rocks !'
