We took our two elderly dogs to this place as it is dog friendly and whilst 2 of our party went in the caves, we took the dogs on the woodland walk. It was a steep climb to get to the top and if you have dogs with you, I would only advise taking younger, fit dogs and if you... More

Even on a damp day the setting is stunning. We received a friendly welcome from the people running Carnglaze, it was very busy and we had a while to wait before we could look inside the cave but the staff kept us well informed. There is a woodland walk to keep you busy plus a couple of gift shops, no... More

Fabulous place to visit no matter what the weather. Very friendly owner and staff. Great information boards. Fascinating history. We plan to visit again and try out the woodland walk ( bit wet and muddy when we visited). Very good value for money.

y 6 year old son loved looking for the fairies on the woodland walk as well as the dragons and he went on the peter rabbit walk twice this gave us plenty to amuse us all while we were waiting for our turn to go down the cave which was beautiful. it wasnt massive but it was still very beautifull... Visited whilst on holiday. Reasonably priced with very polite and cheerful informative staff. Takes only about 30 minutes to walk around, thought it would be bigger. Was amazing to see everything although a little more light might have been advantageous.Having come out and had a picnic we did the woodland walk which was fun especially with my daughter looking for... Took three of our grandchildren - 7, 8 and 11 - and they enjoyed doing the quiz, counting the steps etc. and talking about the history and what it might be like to be mining at their age. Getting to wear yellow hard hats were part of the fun too. The staff are very enthusiastic and it rubs off on... More

We visited during a family holiday with children aged 10 and 13. This is an interesting attraction with friendly staff. The caverns are huge and there's lots of interesting information to read and a display of rocks and minerals. We ate our picnic in the small enclosed garden and helped ourselves to hot drinks from the vending machine. This isn't... More

Agree with Bob B's review. I have visited caverns in places like Lanzorote and Majorca and they were so amazing, piped music, great lighting, café etc. Although Carnglaze is over reasonably priced and quaint, the general public come to expect certain facilties at attractions like this. We spent no longer than about 30 minutes in the cavern and walking around... More

It would appear from earlier reviews that the price for this attraction is the same as it was two or three years ago and for that reason represents better value than it did back then. The customer service is excellent and you get the impression that the staff really want you to enjoy your visit. However from what I saw... More

Really enjoyed the cavern, if you run around, read nothing and don't stop to appreciate it then you will think it is small but I spent around 45 minutes in the cavern, had a picnic then went for a walk around the woods all in all spent around 3 hours in total. One suggestion I would have is to replace... More
