We decided to visit with our two small children one rainy day, as it wasn't far from where we were holidaying. as it was busy we had a short wait before being able to go down into the caverns. When we descended it became apparent quite quickly that it was going to be a short visit. The caverns were fairly... More

This is a lovely little place to come, if you can find it! Tucked away in the Cornish countryside is a beautiful fairylike garden and craft shop with a slate mine in the corner. Head down and you'll find the only licensed bar in a mine in the UK (and a concert venue!) and possibly the most romantic place to... More

The caves are interesting and fun to explore. There are also some woodland walks with fairies to find along the way. Staff are helpful and friendly. Just don't expect to spend all that long there, pobably between 1 and 2 hours

As the weather was a little unpredictable we decided to visit Carnglaze. We were very pleasantly surprised at the price given everything even vaguely touristy seems to cost three times as much as it's worth. It was really lovely to go somewhere that isn't commercialised and just enjoy the natural beauty and history of the caverns and surrounding woodlands. The... More

Had a really nice lazy afternoon here with the family wandering around the grounds and woods. The caverns were amazing especially the underground lake which when lit up is very pretty. I would love to come back when there is a concert on as I expect the experience to be brilliant. All in all a great way to spend an... More

Such an unexpected serene gem. The grounds are amazing and well worth a lazy stroll through rather magical gardens. The cavern itself is beautiful with wonderful rocks and a cold very blue green pool. Stunning place, well worth the money and worth a visit.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect as hadn't visited this place beforehand so decided to "give it a go". What a surprise"! Really interesting experience and actually easy to navigate your way around once your eyes become accustomed to the gloom. Just watch the steps down into the main gallery - they are fine but a little uneven. Take your... More

On a cold, wet day, this place provided a really interesting, dry and warm refuge. It was far bigger inside than we expected, and much more interesting. The display of minerals was very informative and the cavern walk was well-lit and easy to follow.

My sons's wedding was held here. Caroline and her staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a great time. Hog roast caterers were excellent. Beautiful place both inside and outside, well worth a visit.

OK if you like (small) caves -- not much to keep children interested -- but if there is a concert on then it is a good place for acoustics
