Went mid week in September, the mines took us 30 mins to look round, ( the main attraction ) then you can go on a woodland walk , which takes about 30 - 40 mins, which has periodically has fairies, dragons and wooden houses scattered in the first part of the walk ... Had a lord of the rings style... More

Worth a look! Won't take you long to explore the caves but very interesting and a nice way to spend a rainy hour or so! We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves so it was really atmospheric and a little spooky! The place is very simple but that adds to its charm!

We visited on a Saturday Morning in Sept so not many visitors there - after buying your ticket you are shown a self guiding tour, issued with a hard hat & torch. Your eyes soon adjust to the dim light & the entrance floor to the Caverns are 1/2 exhibition & 1/2 theater. Follow the numbers to read the information... More

This was a very interesting visit and with a wedding taking place that afternoon we saw the cavern in all its glory. After our time underground there was a lively little garden and woodland walks nearby but my one criticism was that they could do with a little maintenance.

When you buy your tickets you are told many times that the bats in the caves are sleeping as it is daytime and therefore no flash photography can be used. Sadly the policy on not waking the bats doesn't stretch to disrespectful, noisy people with their poorly behaved and loud children. Could have been a much better place to visit.... More

Disappointed by this. 20 minutes will be enough time. Strange policy on whether you are treated as a senior or not. asked for 1 adult and 1 senior and found ourselves being quizzed on whether we were working or not. Paid the extra £2 rather than be interrogated further but did not stop to look in the shop or buy... More

This was a place we could visit during the naff weather during our week in Cornwall this year. It's a small attraction, with friendly staff who sell the tickets, dish out the safety helmets and show you the route to take - it's a self-guided tour. Very atmospheric inside. They also use it for concerts, which must sound amazing. Sadly... More

If you go to Carnglaze expecting a full day of attractions to see and lunch to be available, you are going to be sorely disappointed and leave a bad review. This attraction won't offer you that. What it will give you is a look through a small cavern system, with a bit of information about how they mined there, and... More

Visited on a rainy monday & it was very busy. We had a bit of a wait to go in with limited under cover areas. We did the woodland walk while we waited. We were warned it would be wet & slippy & it certainly was. Quite steep in places. Not suitable for those with limited mobility or small children.... More
