This place is packed with things to see. It really is great place to visit if this kind of thing interests you. I really don't know how they got so much to see, in what seems like such a small place. This museum is great because it isn't just a place to keep reading things. you get to see all... More

Really enjoyed this place, and all the curio's in there. Some informative stuff too. The kids were a bit werded by it, but that's ok. Well worth a visit.

This museum is definitely worth a visit. Allow yourself at least an hour if you want to have a really good look around and read as much as possible of the information available. There's something for everyone here whatever you believe in !!!

This was our second visit here; the first was shortly before the floods. There is such a wealth of information - unfortunately the museum is quite small, so every available gap is used. This makes it feel very cramped and almost overwhelming, which is a shame as there is so much here. I loved the stone circle display! Realising that... More

It was my second visit to the museum and it was just as good as the first. My 8 year old found it very interesting and said it was really good. There was so much to read and look at that we're going to have to come back again. :-)

The history of this place and the items in it is incredible. I spent a good few hours looking at everything and still feel I could go back! The staff are very friendly aswell :-)

Not quite what we were expecting but they have a wide range of exhibits some of which the got kids excited such as the mummified cats and hand. Teenager daughter liked the suggestively shaped stones - took photos! Worth taking the time to read the explanatory notes as you work your way around. Allow around 45 minutes for your visit.

So I went in, I handed over my £5 and felt utterly disappointed. There's a few interesting thing... like the sign showing me where the flood water came up to, A phallic rock, another "interesting stone".... and ummmmm struggling. Look if you're in to this then you'll probably enjoy it, but even so its basically a small cottage that cost... More

Live in devon so have been to the museum a fair few times. So going to the museum today was great as this week is 10 years since the flood which damaged the whole town. As always it was a friendly visit with the excellent staff and the very informative displays. Well done to all involved and hope that you... More

Visited the museum with family & friends. Joyce (staff) was very welcoming & friendly. The museum, although small, had a vast array of artefacts & wealth of history. The gift shop was stocked with a variety of goodies & nicely priced too. We stayed for a couple of hours. Excellent value for money.
