It was interesting and good value for money £5 for Adult, £4 per child. There was a lot of details to explain all about which magic and witchcraft. Sign everywhere to tell you which where to go.

I went here with my teenage brother, who's 17 and really wanted to go in. As students it was only £4 each which I didn't think was too bad as we spent about 90 minutes wandering round and could have spent longer if we had read all of the info. It's a very small museum and it's crammed full of... More

Visited the museum in Boscastle on our way back through Cornwall. Really interesting displays and information about the history of magic and witchcraft, lots of local stories too. It's quite a small building but the displays are set out so you follow a route round, which means you don't miss anything. The museum includes displays on persecution, witchcraft through the... For £5 per adult, £4 per child (over 5) this was extortionate. Everything in here you cold read about anywhere; there was just nothing different about it or special. Signs all over the place lecturing about not leaning over barriers, that artefacts are alarmed and that children should be supervised all the time. I felt like I was being lectured... More

A display of local and international pagan rituals from prehistoric times up to the twentieth century. It is concisely crammed into a very small museum; everywhere you look, there are twenty things to see. It is a fascinating archive of arcanity. It has limited accessibility to the higher floor.

I had read about the museum before we visited and was not disappointed. You could easily go again and see different things as there was so many artefacts and lots of written information. It was interesting to see how many different religions/belief systems overlap. As well as witchcraft and the life time collections of renowned witches and warlocks, there was... More

There are a lot of items packed into a small space. Kudos for including things like the totemic use of saints remains in Christianity. But really, it's a display of someone's personal collection. Don't expect much in the way of actual history or analysis (other than the mantra of "witches are nice"). A shame given that witches/shamanism/spiritualism/etc are as old... More

The good points are you can see they clearly put a lot of effort into the museum, every nook and cranny has something, but some of it, like a mirror behind a little door is just pointless. Anything that can be vaguely related to a witch has been packed in here. It's interesting but not worth that kind of money.... More

I had not been to the museum since the 2004 Boscastle floods left it in a real mess, and it has gone through a real transformation. The building is clean and the displays professionally presented and within a maze of passageways on two floors. The atmosphere is created by the lighting, sounds and the general design of the place which... More
