This place closed due to low attendance. The quilts have been moved to another location. It was a nice enough place, but the admission fee was too high to see a bunch of well made beautiful quilts. In Lancaster County, you can see zillions of nice quilts for free at various shops and stores around the county.

The different quilts and items hand made in the area, we amazing on how they are designed and made, as well as the other items they had locally made in the shop.

The previous store was sold and now is very different. It still has fabric galore but now it has kitchen stuff and many other things to buy. I would highly recommend the "healing" salves! I bought it and used it on a nasty burn. Overnight it made a HUGE difference! My friend has used the "black" salve and swears by... More

I always go to the museum and the associated fabric and quilt shop when I visit. Its my favorite fabric store. Very surprised to see it was locked up tight and closed. heard they went bankrupt...not sure.

Viewing the quilts that are so beautifully stitched by hand, is an emotive experience. This town is almost a hub for the Amish/Mennanite and I visited a small cinema run by the latter, to watch the story unfold. There are stores in this town that sell hand-stitched quilts for an exorbitant price, but it is highly unlikely that the Amish... More

Small museum with a nice collection of quilts, beautifully displayed. Museum is upstairs. Collections on display change so that each visit will let you enjoy more quilts.

We really enjoyed the Quilt exhibition. It is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Intercourse. You do not even have to be a quilter to appreciate these works of art!

This is a nice display of quilts, but I expected to see older quilts, historic quilts, etc... things you would see in a "museum." There were several quilts; all beautiful; but nothing particularly "historic" or that would make you think you are in a "museum." There is nothing about the Amish Heritage that is attached to the museum and I... More

Even if you aren't a quilter, it's difficult not to appreciate the amount of work that goes into the quilts that were on display. The small size of the museum made it very manageable and not overwhelming. The display was very informative and even had some magnetic cutouts that kids (or adults) could use to design their own quilt. Some... More

The quilts in this museum are absolute works of art, and this is definitely worth seeing. The only thing wrong with this museum is that it's so small.
