Our driver Sam did a great job in explaining the traditional Amish customs. He told us about his family, including 22 grandchildren. The ride lasted well over the hour we paid for and we were made to feel comfortable touring a real working family Amish farm. Sam even explained typical Amish weddings and details about biweekly services. The only thing... More

This is the second time we take the buggy rides. This time we did the 60 minute ride that takes you through a bridge. We learned about Amish traditions, how they cultivate the land, and stop to get some goodies on our way back. We also learned about some differences between Amish and Mennonite culture. Bring your small and big... More

We lucked out being the only ones on the "covered bridge tour" the young girl driver answered all curious questions!

Amos was a great tour guide and it was interesting to hear his views as Amish born and raised. Tour of the farmlands was beautiful. Yes they stop and try to get you to buy food or drink at a farm but no pressure at all to do so.

My husband and I took their 4 mile country ride, they offer three different trips. We had a coupon for the ride from the Lancaster County website. Our driver Barbara, is a member of the Old Order Amish and taught us more about her culture than we could have ever learned from a book. She was friendly, gracious, answered every... More

Glad this place doesn't. Having done this tour before, we chose the "farm tour" recently and it was well worth it. We visited a working farm and learned that they are more modern then one thinks. An extra stop for cookies whoopie pies and home made lemonade was a surprise but welcomed!

We chose to do the 55-minute covered bridge buggy ride. We were a group of six, and we were paying two different ways, and the lady who took our payments was quick and had no trouble figuring everything out. We found it strange that we didn't receive a receipt type confirmation of our ride, but we didn't question it. When... More

We took the 55 minute tour yesterday and found it to be a great experience. Our guide was not Amish, but a local tobacco farmer with Amish friends and a wealth of knowledge about Amish life. The pleasant weather was a plus and the other people on our buggy were also nice. Throughout the tour I learned several things about... More

We really enjoyed our tour. We did the covered bridge tour, and yes you will go through one covered bridge. Sam was our driver and he was very friendly and informative. My daughters and another girl were able to sit up front with him. My youngest loves cows and horses, so everytime she would see one, she would mention it... More
