This was a lovely ride. Our driver gave us a nice tour of Amish country along with some tidbits of Amish living and traditions. The highlight was allowing the young kids on the tour hold the reigns to drive the buggy.

I grew up in central PA and I thought I knew about the Amish/Mennonites. I learned so much from Brenda. She's not Amish or Mennonite but she was a great host/driver. We did the 55 minute covered bridge tour. Before we got to the bridge we stopped at an Amish roadside stand. They had fresh made beverages and baked goods... More

I was pretty skeptical of a "buggy ride with the Amish". I truly wanted to meet a member of the Amish community and talk to them about their way of life, but I was afraid the buggy rides were just a tourist trap. Especially since most of the companies put around 10 people per buggy. This one, honestly, sounded the... More

We were at Kitchen Kettle Village on Thursday and planned on taking a buggy tour of a farm. After stopping at the stand, we were very disappointed when we came back 1/2 hour later as told by the woman at the stand and told that no buggy was going out because no one else signed up. We asked when next... More

We had a group of 15 and wanted to go as a group. So we paid our money and when it was time to load, we were split up in two buggies which was not necessary. 4 singles were put on and then we filled up the rest with our group. Four of our group could not go with them... More

I highly recommend this hour long ride that takes you into the heart of the Amish community in Intercourse, PA. Our guide was a very friendly young man and answered all questions regarding the Amish way of life, which was quite interesting. When a young man reaches the age of 16, he is given an open buggy and horse, which... More

Our driver Sam did a great job in explaining the traditional Amish customs. He told us about his family, including 22 grandchildren. The ride lasted well over the hour we paid for and we were made to feel comfortable touring a real working family Amish farm. Sam even explained typical Amish weddings and details about biweekly services. The only thing... More

This is the second time we take the buggy rides. This time we did the 60 minute ride that takes you through a bridge. We learned about Amish traditions, how they cultivate the land, and stop to get some goodies on our way back. We also learned about some differences between Amish and Mennonite culture. Bring your small and big... More
