We have been there a few times. Overall the venue is good, food and service up to a good standard. Check the seating plan before making your reservation, it is important where you are sitting. Generally not having to go to London for the theater is a great idea. They have a lot fo choice and variety in the offerings... More

We have been here many times over the years and it always is a nice evening out. The food and the show (s) are always good. When booking a seat, be sure to view their theatre seating plan, as you could end up with a seat at the side and you will only see the side or back of the... More

This was the first time we had visited The Mill at Sonning, but we will certainly be back. We were on a coach trip from South London (Skinners) and the journey was quick and pleasant, passing through the very pretty Henley-on-Thames. We had a drink in the characterful bar (sitting next to the turning mill wheel) and then a very... More

Have been many times and visited on 24 July 2014 "Stone Cold Murder" the play was a "tour de force" but the new menu was disappointing particularly the loss of the steak and ale pie!! - more worrying was my friend and I arrived at 6.25 pm had a relaxed pre-dinner drink in the bar then went to the buffet... We visited the Mill as guests of the cruise boat, African Queen. We walked along the tow path and over Sonning river bridge. We had a brief sodjourn on the stairs whilst waiting for the restaurant to open at 6.15pm the bar being rather full. Dinner (self-service main course, which I don't mind) was good and the drinks and sweet... More

I have visited this attraction maybe 3 or 4 times in the past, and partly because it's a bit of a drive from where I live, although 'do-able' for an evening, it's perhaps not a place I go to frequently. However this week we joined friends, and on a not particularly nice night weather wise, undertook the drive to Reading,... More

Excellent play, well produced and performed. We attend every production and this particular play was outstanding. However the change of menu was disappointing, main meal was ok, just about average, very disappointed the tasty pie option has gone. Dessert very poor, seem to be only cold fare available. End up with a very dry tart accompanied by a small blob... More

We are regular visitors to The Mill at Sonning and took some friends this week to see a play called "Stone Cold Murder" which we all thoroughly enjoyed. It was well worth seeing and the four actors were brilliant. The only disappointment was the meal as they have decided to make it a buffet and although the plates were very... More
