Beautiful spot for breakfast (though it doesn't open until 10a.m). Food cooked to perfection and the coffee tasted lovely. Watched the goats gambolling across the beck from the bistro window. Pretty near perfect! Thank you chef! Bought some lovely baby clothes from the twee little shop there too.

This little spot in the tiny village of Silkstone, near Barnsley/M1 is a real find. I dare say that if I didn't now live in Huddersfield, and had to travel up and down the M1 in Yorkshire - I would certainly divert off the motorway to have a break there, rather than any motorway services. The coffee shop is beautifully... More

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. The Christmas shop was just opening up and the chap there was very excited and couldn't stop chatting. Nice to see such enthusiasm bless. The food was very good with a lovely pot of tea overlooking the stream with the ducks and geese. The little ladies clothes and accessory shop Pookies, had... More

parked here for free and went for a walk around the surrounding countryside. Lovely 2 hr walk where we only crossed 1 road. Came back to Pot House Hamlet for late lunch in their cafe. food was good, service good too. Will be back.

I have visited Pot House many times, but never knew it was on Trip Advisor. I called here the other day for a couple of bags of Lawn Seed. There were 3 different kinds in various weights which were all priced very competitively. I had a walk around the well stocked shop which certainly sells most things you would require... More

I have two young girls (5 and 1) and after school we love a walk, today we ended up at the pot house hamlet. What a great experience, they have ducks, geese, goats, alpacas, chickens and sheep, and they can all be interacted with for FREE. The bags of feed are 50p (how can you grumble with that??) I ended... More

Interesting for an hour. Queit on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Nice family run garden centre with some new and old stock, some interesting plants good for investigating. A couple of very expensive designer cloths shops, one women's and one children's. A pleasant cafe/restaurant which was very busy, but we did not get to visit, and a subdued "feed the... More

This is a really nice little stone built complex with a lot of history to it - industry has been here since the doomsday book apparently. The buildings have all been restored really well and it's a nice place to wander round. Currently there is a lovely little cafe and a few shops - ladies wear, children's wear, hairdressers, beauty... Firstly a great set up, free parking and a cafe that did brill cakes. Lots of different shops a superb animal supplies business there... More
