Owner description: Cannon Hall Farm is a large, family run farm attraction. Sitting in the rolling Pennine foothills, it’s home to hundreds of animals, waiting to welcome you to a world of animal magic. The farm features one of the biggest and best equipped playgrounds in the north of England and the largest tube maze in Europe. The farm shop is famous for home produced beef, pork, lamb and a huge variety of sausages. The tearoom serves delicious home cooked food. The deli produces award winning pies and delicious bread is baked on site every morning. The farm was winner of Best Tourism Experience at The White rose Awards in 2011 and highly commended in the same category in the Visit England Awards 2012.

What a lovely day out. Great for kids... Lots to look at, learn and enjoy... Especially the ferret and sheep racing (not at the same time obviously!) good value for money. Will definitely go again. The shop has lovely items in. Just been in Dec 14 after refurb, really impressed. Can order your free range meat for the big day!

Saw the offer on Facebook for afternoon tea for two £9.95 served Mon to Fri 2.30 to 4.30 and decided to try it. It was lovely. Sandwiches with 3 kinds of fillings, Half a salmon & broccoli quiche each, A large scotch egg to share and then lots of CAKES 😊 Served with tea or coffee. Such fantastic value. Thankyou... More

Great place to bring kids in the warmer months.....plenty of parks and things to do and a cafe on site. Be warned it does tend to get very busy!

Visited recently to show some Christmas visitors around the area, we took them around the grounds in the snow and it was great. The grounds are well kept and there is a lot to do. The farm shop there is also very good, lots of meats and cheeses to choose from. Didn't get the chance to look around the museum... More

Coming from a farming background I am sceptical about "farm parks" but this place is great, animals are well cared for, also has real rare breeds! Meat raised on site are then sold in the shop, which is great! It operates like a real farm. Not like a zoo that most farm parks do. Wish people would pay me to... More

We don't usually venture behind the house, only normally walking in the grounds but wanted someplace to visit in between Christmas and New Year. Paid £6.95 each adult to visit the 'farm', cattle, sheep, llamas, pigs, donkeys, chickens, goats etc are spread out throughout the site. Opportunity to 'pet' some baby rabbits. Watching the piglets with their mothers was very... More

We live locally and visit cannon hall regularly. We don't have kids so can't comment about the farm. We love the grounds, we spent a lot of time there in summer with the dog and having picnics you can't literally set up with your picnic and stay there all day.

The Winter Wonderland event had no connection whatsoever to Cannon Hall Farm. It was run by Cannon Hall Museum and a private events company. More

It may say more about society in general than this particular attraction but Cannon Hall Farm seemed more focused on kids playgrounds than animals. Which incident were dead as it was so cold. With a toddler I think more of an animal focus would've. Better way to spend the profits from the farm. An indoor PLAY AREA is coming in... More

We went to celebrate our so s birthday, all the children had a fantastic time, especially feeding the animals, the tractor rides were the highlight of the visit for all the children the adults enjoyed the sheep racing.. we found the cafe disappointing as we had to send food back. Other than that we had a fantastic time and will... More
