Bramall Hall is a stunning Tudor manor house situated in a wonderful position in Bramhall Park (70 acres) where it overlooks the river (the Ladybrook) and two small lakes. At the top of the steps which lead to the entrance of the Hall is a large, flat field, perfect for children who want to run around, and at one end... More

A wonderful old house, full of interesting features. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the house and grounds. Many rooms to look at, which have been renovated and furniture included to recreate the house in different periods. The wall paintings in the chapel and upstairs hall (originals) were fascinating. We had lunch in the cafe - home-made... More

A lovely day out with a nice walk through the park and its woodland. Picnic tables available though we had a good lunch in the Stables Cafe in the park. We followed this by a tour of the house for a small fee. Two lovely ladies with extensive knowledge helped to make our visit very interesting.

Stockport Council are to be congratulated for maintaining this outstanding timber-framed house so beautifully. Although the families who lived there were not history's movers and shakers their story is still fascinating. There is a useful introductory video and the guides are knowledgeable but not intrusive. The surrounding park is attractive, too.

Such a stunning location, I can see why anyone would want to get married there with those photo opportunities. As for just a visit to the park on a beautiful day, the ground offer lots of lovely spots to sit or lay down and take in the sun. The duck pond is great if you love Ducks as my other... More

My daughter and I visited Bramall Hall on a Saturday afternoon. This was our first visit, the parking was adequate and we didn't mind having to pay. We walked to the Hall through rather unkempt gardens. The building was stunning, we were greeted by very welcoming attendants who obviously loved the Hall and it's history. On touring the property and... More

What a fantastic hall this is, from the minute you enter the front door you step back in history, the best way to enjoy this hall is to take the guided tour, the tour guides are very informed and knowledgeable .
