If you find this review helpful, please acknowledge this at the end. I have been here so many times, it is a beautiful place to visit. You can choose to have a short or long walk and there are wooded areas, higher ground or a more relaxing stroll around the lake and watch the brook run under the various little... More

It has been a long time since I have been in the Tudor House, but from memory it was a fantastic building with plenty to see, Christmas is especially lovely. Fee to be paid for entry. My review is mostly for the grounds and cafe. Stunning views of the surrounding gardens and ponds with it's watery wildlife. A lovely walk... More

Have visited this beautiful house many times over the years. Would recommend for all ages. Ideal for all children to visit so they can see and understand for themselves what it was like during the Tudor era.

This beautiful building has parts of it dating back to the 14th century. Fortunately, after hundreds of years in ownership of the Davenport family, when a local industrialist Charles Nevil moved in in the late 19th century he preserved and restored the house superbly. The rooms are very well presented, particularly the chapel, with helpful, knowledgeable guides on hand. There's... More

Visited on 19/9/14 - lucky we did as it has received a grant for refurbishment & so will be closed from 1/10/14 until 2016 (May?) It is the most beautiful B&W timber Tudor house with a wonderful interior. I recommend visiting as soon as it re-opens

We live locally and find this an ideal local pleasant walk. Play area is looking slightly tired but the kids still love it! Cafe is small but friendly.

I love the hall and the park I've been coming here all my life, and have many happy memories, but sadly the council have allowed the gardens to become somewhat shabby and unkempt. The hall also needs attention, but I understand some restoration works are planned quite soon. The gardens used to be so lovely, I don't understand why Stockport... More

Everything. Brought our children here when they were little. We try to visit whenever we are over from Australia. Lovely grounds, fascinating hall (used in several tv series) and great cafe

Bramall Hall is a stunning Tudor manor house situated in a wonderful position in Bramhall Park (70 acres) where it overlooks the river (the Ladybrook) and two small lakes. At the top of the steps which lead to the entrance of the Hall is a large, flat field, perfect for children who want to run around, and at one end... More

A wonderful old house, full of interesting features. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the house and grounds. Many rooms to look at, which have been renovated and furniture included to recreate the house in different periods. The wall paintings in the chapel and upstairs hall (originals) were fascinating. We had lunch in the cafe - home-made... More
