My wife and I have just been to see the film "The Lady in the Van" at this wonderful theatre. From entering the Plaza, we wee shown to our seats and welcomed with the efficiency and grace of a day gone by. The seats were very comfortable and the decoration an absolute delight. The live organ music was again a... More

Offers a wide variety of entertainment to suit all ages and tastes. The programme offered during the year is well thought out to meet the communities needs, terminating in traditional pantomime at Christmas. All staff are volunteers and are always there with a smile to help as and when necessary. If you haven't tried it yet check out the programme... More

My partner and I recently went for lunch in the beautiful tea rooms. It was our first visit to the plaza for lunch and certainly won't be the last. From the moment we were seated by the young manager with the beard to the moment we had to leave with the good wishes from the young man/teenager who was extremely... More

I've been to the plaza once before to see a dance show that my daughter was in and was sat right near the front so was hesitant about being able to see much as we were on row O of the balcony which is right at the back on the last row! I needn't had worried as the seats are... More

Visited Stockport Plaza to see Sarah Millican last night. When we were eventually allowed into the theatre out of the rain, we descended to a small, dark dungeon which was the bar. Two choices of draught beer: Carling, the lowest common denominator of lagers and a brew that was ironically named "Robinsons Smooth". This was entirely flat and opaque. The... More

I love the Plaza and I am a frequent visitor, however, I have to say, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable if you are sat down for over an hour! The arms are made of steel and the seats are rigid and hard backed. Such a shame as it spoils the enjoyment of what would be a great night out!
