This Art-Deco Super-Theatre is a must for all visitors to Stockport. Have a beautiful lunch in their Cafe-Lounge or take a guided tour through it's history and the fantastic theatre, coridors and hallways. You'll be glad you did.

This is really splendid example of what a typical English theatre should beautifully maintained by caring local volunteers who give up their time and do it the keep the identity and future of their community. People should support these kind of projects and I will be giving my support by visiting again soon

I can't believe I have lived and worked near here my whole life, yet Iv never stepped foot inside!! The building is fantastic and a great contrast to other theatres around. Staff were helpful, professional and smartly dressed. Toilets were lovely, I was honestly surprised at the condition of the building and insides. Will be looking out for more enjoyable... More

Lovely example of Art from the early days of cinema and theatre. Lovely afternoon tea and nice to soak up the ambience of an old style cinema.

The 1930s ambience is beautiful and genuine. We went to the cafe quite early in the morning and there were few customers. We were made very welcome by the staff, especially the door man. For coffee you get a whole jug so about three or four cups full. Very good coffee. The only disappointment were the scones, which were pale... More

I took my dad to a matinee of The Mikado. It was our first ever visit so we had no idea we would walk into a gem of 1930s Art Deco theatre. We were blown away by the decor. The production was first rate, the audience were all die hard Gilbert & Sullivan fans & we had some lovely chats... More

Best blend of tea I've had in a long time. The Cheshire rarebit was also delicious. Great atmosphere and genuinely friendly and warm service

It has been my first time visiting this venue and it will not be my last. I think that it is very traditionally decorated and beautiful in its simplicity. I came here to watch Jimmy Carr, and this is not the first time I've seen him life, but certainly the best place to have seen him life. The acoustics are... More
