A great performer, as always. Don't pre-book your taxi, as he always tends to over-run. You certainly get your money's worth.

A lovely theatre built in 1932 and restored with love. Upstairs is a great café run by volunteers who have been involved in its restoration. Very good food with a unique atmosphere. A must if you are visiting Stockport.

Went to see Jason Manford here in July (2014).. it was a warm night which made inside the Plaza like an oven.. the venue itself was great though.. just dont think they have air conditioning running.

I attended The Plaza for afternoon tea/ baby shower along with about 15 others. I must say I was quite disappointed. The food was very average and the sandwiches not as fresh as they could have been (possibly due to the fact we had to pre-order due to the number of us and they may have been made a bit... More

I have been here lots of times and it's always great. I went for a baked potato with side salad which was great. Had a shortbread biscuit which was yummy. My friend had the afternoon tea on the cake stand which was also very good. Last time I went my pot of tea didn't arrive so they brought it after... More

Such a lovely theatre -delighted to see the results of what's obviously been a well thought out restoration. Easy access, clean and with a great range of shows at the moment (which are much cheaper than their equivalents in Manchester city centre). Hope this the beginning if it's second hey-day!

The Plaza was Stockports first cinema/ theatre show house - and is the last remaining. The trust and its volunteers have lovingly restored and funded this architectural gem - an absolute must!

This Art-Deco Super-Theatre is a must for all visitors to Stockport. Have a beautiful lunch in their Cafe-Lounge or take a guided tour through it's history and the fantastic theatre, coridors and hallways. You'll be glad you did.

This is really splendid example of what a typical English theatre should beautifully maintained by caring local volunteers who give up their time and do it the keep the identity and future of their community. People should support these kind of projects and I will be giving my support by visiting again soon
