They provide an excellent day of challenge and activity for children. We took 45 year 5 children who all had a marvellous day that was filled with challenge, fun and adventure. Staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgable.

It's great that Bury provides a taste of the outdoors with a water activity centre and nature trail - unfortunately Bury residents see it as fantastic facility for dogs and as a result other visitors find themselves playing hopscotch as they skip over the random piles of dog poop that litter the whole park. Walking in both grass and on... More

The Activity Centre has lots of activities and is great for a birthday party for children and adults of all ages. Set in a beautiful country park which itself is worth the visit, the activity centre caters fro all tastes. Lots of areas to wander through, see the east lancs train pass by, activities for schools and often events on in the main field. Picnic benches are about, though not as many as once was. The walk from Burrs past the weir... More

I have known the Burrs Country Park since I was born and raised just down the road. My husband and I often visit for a walk, spotting kingfishers and to enjoy the scenery. My only complaint is that, unlike other country parks, there are no toilet facilities whatsoever. Even when the Activity Centre itself is open, you are not allowed... More

This is our second stay at Burrs country park! Lovely park, lots of walks and along side the caravan park runs the East Lancs Railway, great for steam train enthusiasts. There are children's activities, I presume more so in the summer but the kids were canoeing. The Brown cow pub at the entrance is a bonus for the dark evenings!... More
