My partner and I discovered Bury market just over a year ago. Since then we no longer shop at the Asda's and Tesco's of this world but in place do all our food shopping at the market. Not only is the fish, meat, bread, fruit and veg so much fresher, but also tastes a lot better. As we go there... More

Lots of great stalls and shops within easy walking distance of each other. Plenty of places to eat, good facilities easily accessible. Only bad thing £6.00 to park but that is all day so not too bad.

So far I have been in open markets in Longsight, hyde, Stockport,Tameside, Bolton, smiths market, gorton, sale,Chorlton,Oldham and bury. To be honest, found, Bury market is the best. Mainly because of the management. The market management really deserves the credit to make this place one of the best in the region! This market offers you the almost everything need in your... More

I've visited Bury Market since being a child and often visit on a Friday or Saturday, the range of stalls is vast, as are the bargains. I often buy clothes from a couple of boutique type stalls and friends are shocked when I tell them where they come from and how little I pay. The food is excellent, fish, meat,... More

Both open air and indoor market. good selection of stalls selling mostly clothes. Some stalls selling crockery. well worth an afternoon visit. Small café just inside, on the left, (sorry can not remember the name) of one entrance very reasonable prices and makes a nice mug of tea

Staying in Manchester we decided to visit Bury market as we had heard so much about it. Our visit was a little disappointing as all the stalls seemed to be scattered here there and everywhere and selling nothing different to other markets. There is plenty there but negotiating it requires a compass as you go over the same bits time... More

I have only recently discovered Bury Market and am very impressed. It is very large and clean. They sell everything from vegetables to vacuum cleaners. I love the wool stall, the wool is cheap and good quality. I could go on and on but do visit and see for yourself. I give it 5 stars.
