Firstly, visited the market on Wednesday for the first time, and it is huge and an experience But after I bought what I wanted, I can't see the point in wondering around, because it's so big, it would take you all day! Bit of a waste of time. It could do with less stalls, and a more structured layout I.e... More

What a fantastic Market this town has, with both indoor and outdoor markets, and its Millgate Shopping Centre. There are stalls here to suit everyone, with the opportunity to buy almost anything one could ask for, being especially 'well-blessed' with its Fruit & Veg, Meat, and Fish stalls plus many cafes and restaurants. You could spend the whole day wandering... More

There are so many different stalls here from Vacuum repairs to Haberdashery and cafes to suit everyone and that's not counting the Meat & Fish market. One of my favourite stalls if Katsouri's which has a very good variety of continental foods on display and a very busy café as well. Simon Hopkinson of 'The Good Cook' fame was on... More

Its no wonder that Bury market keeps winning the UK market of the year. With over 200 stalls selling almost everything you need you cant help but get a bargain. The atmosphere is wonderfull and you also get the great.northern hospitality. On market days you will find around 30 coaches bringing people from as far away as Hull and Birmingham.... More

The indoor market where fish and meat can be bought provides minutes of entertainment as the traders shout enthusiastically to attract your attention and money with special deals such as but a tray of chicken for £20 and get everything on the board absolutely free! The board usually consists of chops, mincemeat, steak, burgers and sausages depending on the day.... More

I returned to Bury about 40 years after my last visit (Top Town BBC1?). The market remains vibrant with great offerings, no wonder it gets 250000 visitors a week and won a 2015 Market award. Meat and Fish Hall remains busy well into the afternoon which is good testimony

Went here after hearing about one of the butcher's. The food hall was a bit too noisy with the stall holders shouting over each other too advertise their goods. They sell almost everything on the market and it Is worth visiting! I tried the black pudding but they boiled it and it wasn't nice. I found quite s few things... More

Bury market is a must, spent hours there! You must try the black peas from a little hot potato kiosk, amazing and such a lovely, friendly proprietor.
