Easy to find when arriving in Bury off the M66, about a mile from the junction. Plenty of good priced parking on the left, the market's on the right. Open 6 days a week (closed Sunday) but go when all the stalls are open - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Great variety of stalls selling everything you'd expect and more. It... More

Best market in the country. See and buy just about everything from food to clothes. Specially good for pies and black pudding. Coach loads arrive every market day. Can't be much wrong if that many people want to come and shop there.

Lovely time absorbing the atmosphere, meeting lovely stall holders and fellow customers, and buying some great value local produce to create a 'Bury themed' lunch at home. Old school experience - they don't last forever unless commercially viable - so please join in and support it. In particular check out proper cheese & onion pie, a fab deli which is... More

this market is probably the best I've been to, not only are the locals friendly but the stalls are reasonably priced and offer samples ( where appropriate) we couldn't stop smiling the whole way round. only thing is that there is a cafe to the right which i would stay clear of. its busy, overpriced and not good quality.

We had heard about this market winning an award from BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme and in the competition beating places like Borough Market south of London Bridge. We never imagined what we would find at Bury; it's astonishing. Very easy to find from the A58/M66 interchange, and therefore close to the M60 Manchester outer ring road as well;... More

Having lived in the area for as many years I existed in the planet I suppose I have taken this world famous attraction for granted. You can get just about everything here and a decent prices too. Since its face lift a few years ago more and more coach loads descend on the town to explore what the stalls have... More

This is a very interesting market with plenty of atmosphere, the stalls are varied and the food looks fresh and really apetising. There is a very good fish and chip cafe situated right in the middle of the market, selling excellent quality fish and chips as well as pies and puddings. Not to be missed. There are good transport links... More
