Its a long time since I've seen a market so busy, reminds me what almost every towns market used to be like, whatever their successful formula is they should pass the secret on to other dying and dead towns, Councillors take note, what helps is the linking of the outdoor and indoor markets plus the close proximity to the town... Went from Lime Stret station to Mancheter Victoria then on to Metro which dropped me right outside market. Markets as much bigger than I expected with a huge range of stalls, both food and goods.... Like the Fruit and Veg stalls...well selected!! All in all you will find something to buy. Attached to it is the Bus station and Metro link. Main Trading days are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

You can get almost anything you want at this giant market. The indoor stalls especially the butchers rival any other markets in range and price. The outdoor markets are always interesting. Just wished we lived nearer.

.... Then we wouldn't use a supermarket. This is my daughter's local market so whenever I visit her we include a trip to Bury market, I'm so jealous she has this on her doorstep. It's busy, clean, colourful, lively, noisy and offers almost anything you could wish to buy. I love the fact there are so many local specialities available... More

We always visit this market when we are in Bury - it is a must! Try the Black pudding and cheese stalls - and you'll be... More
