We had heard that Bury market was well worth a visit and on arriving in Manchester we were surprised to find that the Manchester Tram Service goes out to Bury. A Tram Ticket for the day costs £5.00 and so we set out to avoid a home match for Manchester United by going to Bury mid morning. The Tram journey... More

A super variety of stalls, both inside and out. Fashion stalls, food, black pudding if that's what you like, an excellent cheese and onion pie stall too.

This is a market with distinction and with the produce it sells you would think you were in the middle of the country. The black puddings are really tasty the cheese stalls are fantastic. A number of the stalls have free samples so you know exactly what you are buying.

What a surprise! Visited on a Saturday morning and the place was buzzing. A whole different level of market. Some genuine value and good bargains too.

Best market we've ever been to! No wonder it's been voted the best in Britain! There's loads of stuff but for me the most impressive part is the friendliness of the people of Bury. Not only is this the origins of the famous black pudding, which is delicious by the way, but also sooo many stalls sell here very own... More

You can buy virtually anything here. I have been coming up to Lancashire for over 20 years, and the stalls are still very much the same, just the addition of a few more mobile phone and ornament stalls. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, although Saturday afternoon is very busy.

Bury Market must be one of the best markets in England. We went in November 2014 and were greatly impressed. Specialist foods - black puddings, cheese, pies - are available here that you'll struggle to find anywhere else. Much of it is indoors, our of the weather. Very highly recommended.

Visited last week after an absence of about 6 years. I first visited the market in 1975. My parents used to travel from a little place called Barnoldswick to spend the day. There have been a few changes in recent years, however, its still a great market. Such a wide variety of stalls packed into the space.A lot of the... More

If you are in Bury a visit to the Bury Market is a must .very good place to look for bargains ,plus when you walk through to the other side ,you can walk straight into a Shopping Mall it certainly lives up to its reputation of being the biggest market in the U.K
