Been so many times to The Met (and Automatic) so will just concentrate on most memorable: seeing Charlotte Keatley in the audience at one of the first productions of 'My Mother Said I Never Said'...yes, that was a long time ago...more recently, Julia Fordham in her Porcelain tour. We are so very, very lucky to have a venue as versatile,... More

We go for concerts , stand up and other events. Never disappoints. The auditorium is comfortable with a steepish rake so you have a good view wherever you're seated. Sometimes we eat in the Met bar which is ok, convenient, of course, but nothing very memorable.

Went to the Met for the second time to see Chuck Prophet. The theatre is excellent, small capacity so great view of the stage from anywhere. The bar in the theatre serves real ale, good quality lagers and excellent bottled beers. Bar prices are very reasonable. Drinks can be taken into the theatre. A special thanks to Shaun who was... Visited the Met for the first time for a Chuck Prophet gig and was really impressed with the venue. A friendly welcome at the ticket desk set the tone, and all the staff we came across were helpful and friendly. The gig was in the upstairs space, with a good reasonably priced bar next door too. The building has charm... More

The Met is a splendid venue for life entertainment. They host a wide variety of acts and also activities throughout the year. The building itself is pleasant, and I've always found the staff to be most friendly and helpful.

The programme of music is varied and gives a good opportunity to see good artists in a small and friendly venue, with a good bar and eatery. Excellent

We really love The Met. It is an old style theatre, in the sense that the very walls ooze tradition, and hasn't succumbed to some glass and chrome modernisation scheme. It's friendly and cosy (more of which later), which always makes it a pleasure to visit. I just wish we didn't have to endure the M60 during weekday rush hour... More
