Arley is very close to my heart. It's so tranquil and beautiful. There are many walks and points of interest closeby. Highley has... More

Got on train and saw more embankment and housing than lovely countryside! Very expensive too, would not recommend this to anyone.

Had a great day out on the Severn Valley Railway from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth return. Pricey for a family but well run and worth the cost. Staff very friendly and enthusiastic. Got off at Bridgnorth to view the town. Used the Cliff Railway - £1.20 pp return. This links Lower and Upper Bridgnorth, which is an attractive town. Had afternoon... More

We caught the train from Kidderminster and opted for the second departure as the first on the timetable was a diesel engine. We got returns to Bridgnorth which also gives you freedom of the line all day. Wt went in 1st class on the outwards trip 2 adults and 1child extra £7 but hey why not. The staff we spoke... More

A grand day out! Took eight year old train-mad grandson on a day out. Started at Kidderminster station with a lovely blue engine drawing the train, (don't ask me what it was, I'm not that clued up) but the sounds and smells took me back 50 years. Very nostalgic. Next stop Bewdley, but just before Bewdley station we passed the... More

We are steam railway nerds and we love this railway. Day 1 of our visit we did a return trip Arley to Kidderminster, then day 2 we did Arley to Bridgnorth.

Loved the whole thing from the wonderful voluntary staff to the actual train and stations. The fact you can take your own food and drink on is a big plus.
