Great , medium sized cinema set amidst the ever evolving new Brighton marine point. Shows your stable blockbusters with a bit of independent and live arts performances from UK and abroad, great seating, auditoriums small and medium sized and only really challenged by FACT in town. You can keep your Vue and Odeons etc.

I went to The Light Cinema in New Brighton with a friend, it wasn't a planed visit, we went due to the heavy rain, and was pleased we did. The Light Cinema was very comfortable & spacious, and was truly a great cinema experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful & professional. I don't live near to New Brighton, although... More

We are so fortunate to have this great cinema in New Brighton and on my recent visits, it's been super to see it so well patronized. Very comfortable seats with plenty of legroom allowing patrons who need to get past, to do so easily. Friendly staff who work well to process queues at busy times. Reasonable prices, I paid just... Great cinema and proud to have it in New Brighton. Comfortable seats and nicely decorated, cafe area pleasant, good choice of snacks and drinks, staff are friendly and welcoming, big choice of films, everything you want from a cinema. Escalators to movie theatres on 2nd floor. Ease of access. Great location. Enjoyable experience all in all.

My cinema of choice whenever a new film is released. Very comfortable place to watch movies and better value for money than the big chains offer. Doesn't just show the obvious commercial released movies too and streamed live music and theatre events happen regularly too.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Not just the reasonable prices, it's also the friendly and knowledgeable staff and the outrageously comfy seats. Plus, Wallasey has never had so many screens in one of its cinemas before. Add to this the fact that they also cater for theatre and live music lovers by regularly screening live concerts, operas, ballets, Shakespeare... More

We called in on a Saturday afternoon and it was good to see it very busy. The queue moved quickly and we had hood seats. The seats themselves are very comfortable and the heating was good. First class.

I went to see American Sniper. I'd read the book and wanted to see how the film compared with it as well as other offerings from Clint Eastwood. I thought the film was a very good study of men at war and explored it's effect on close relationships, but as this is about the cinema, most of my review will... More

The light is an independent cinema with all the facilities of the multiple chains. Tickets are generally 25% less than Vue and the range of films tends to be broader. 3D is the same price as the 2D version and there is no fee for booking online. The usual noisy junk food is sold in the reception but there is... More
