Very interesting brewery tour, complete with cooperage and shire horses! Not to mention some great brews.

We had such a lovely afternoon with Dec, the tour host. He was very knowledgable, interesting and fun. I'm not a beer fan although my partner is and yet we both enjoyed this experience. I shall be telling all our friends and family. Note to Wadworths, you have a brilliant employee - he's a real asset!

Excellent value for money, this brewery trip was great, seeing the old style brewry alongside the new brewery, the sign room was great to see traditional sign writing, and the shire horses were beautiful, cannot recommend enough, after the tour we could then sample the beer, well my husband did as I don't like beer and I was driving, he... Can only really re-iterate what other visitors have already said. Its really good value for money and well worth a visit. You do need to wear sensible footwear as some of the tour involves climbing stairs which, in some parts, are quite steep but not too bad. We went on a Saturday which was good in some respects because it... More

I took husband on the tour and tasting session for his birthday today, wasn't sure if I was really interested but knew he would be. The tour guide (Becky?) was excellent and made everything interesting and accessible. I'm glad I headed the warning to wear appropriate footwear, some of the stairs are steep and narrow stepped, so perhaps not for... More

This tour is worth every penny! We stared with the lunch platter which was really tasty & included a beer or soft drink in my friends case. This was followed by a really interesting tour with Dec who made the 2 hour tour really informative & fun. For my non-drinking partner this was also enjoyable & she particularly enjoyed the... More

A great afternoon started with the optional ploughman's lunch (tiny bit disappointed that I did not get a little more cheese when I said I did not eat pork). The tour guide was very good, friendly and knowledgable

The whole visit was so good from booking online to a friendly welcome on arrival. The tour was interesting and Dec presented it very well, both amusing and informative and patiently answering the many questions we asked. Particularly liked seeing the cooper's workshop, the sign writers' workshop and the shire horses. The tasting session was very well presented and the... More

This tour and tasting is well worth the 10 pound cost. This is a Victorian era brew house that still regularly uses an open copper brew kettle for some beers as well as open fermentation vats. An amazing glimpse into the ancient art of traditional brewing, wooden firkins hand painted pub signs and Shire horses that till make local deliveries... More
