Established in 1875, this independent family owned brewery is steeped in history, heritage & traditional skills, as well as a wide collection of carefully hand crafted ales. With an on-site Sample Bar, Brewery Shop & Visitor Centre, there's certainly much more to Wadworth - a visit to see our Shire Horses, who deliver our ales across town each week day, is highly recommended! The Visitor Centre is FREE admission, however fees apply to our guided tours.

Scheduled tours are available daily at 11am & 2pm, catering for up to 60 people, prices start from £9.00pp. Brewery Tours include a visit to the main production areas, our on-site Sign Studio; where guests can gaze at our unique hand painted pub signs, followed by a visit to the Stables, finishing with a tutored beer sampling session. Our Visitor Centre & Brewery Shop is open each week day from 10am-5pm (except bank holidays), and is always well stocked with your favourite Wadworth ales and gifts.

I am not a beer drinker but I bought this for my husband who enjoys real ale. It didn't matter because I found the tour interesting. Especially the pub sign workshop and the lovely shire horses. I liked the fact there were steep stairs and a few hazards to consider like slippery floors and over hanging pipes. Be advised- do... More

I booked this for my husband's birthday and we took our 12 year old daughter. We had lunch in the visitors centre before the tour and it was very good. The tour takes in the old part of the brewery and the modern part. Then across the road you see the sign writing and shire horses. Our daughter enjoyed the... More

Fantastic tour around the brewery which was really made to come alive by the excellent tour guides. We were disappointed not to have seen the horses as they were out at an event. The beer tasting at the end was very enjoyable and converted us to Wadworth fans on the spot!

2 hours of history and interesting info. The best £11 you will spend in Devizes. The guide was. Wealth of knowledge and was superb. Great history, great history and great horses. Oh and great beer! If you are visiting Devizes, visit the brewery.

A fascinating insight into traditional and modern brewing, with an excellent guide. Not only do you work your way through the various stages of beer making, but you get to meet the massive shire horses and visit the pub sign paint shop. At the end of the trip you get to try a number of the famous Wadworth beers. What's... More

Tours of the brewery are very informative and guided by friendly staff. The visit covers both the old and much newer parts of the brewery as well as the sign painters' studio and the shire horse stables and ends with a tasting session, with each beer fully explained. They also serve excellent lunches (pork pie, or ploughman's platters. You need... More

I took a small group of my customers to Wadworths brewery when they visited me earlier in 2015. As it was a weekday there were few other visitors which meant that we had just a small group. The tour is very interesting as it includes visits to both the old and newer sections of the brewery and, as another reviewer... More

My husband and I booked a tour of this brewery during a two day stay in Devizes. Both being CAMRA members, we were interested in finding out the history of this family owned brewery. We were lucky enough to be in a party of only four, so it was very easy to chat to our tour guide and ask questions.... More

Visited today. Knowledgeable guide. Different to other breweries as they have shire horses, great fellows, and hand painted signs, very clever people. Although modernised have kept history. Of course the beer is very good. Well worth a visit.
