An afternoon well spent. Good value for money. The crop circle exhibition in itself was worth the visit. This museum gave me good insight into the area and stimulated me to do more research at my leisure. Suitable for all ages. Give yourself at least a couple of hours?

Having visited Devizes regularly for about the last fifteen years, I had never quite made it to the Wiltshire Museum. Although not one of the largest I have visited, the museum was well presented, clean and easily accessible. Exhibits were well thought out and were both general and locally focussed. Of interest on this visit was the temporary exhibition on... More

The museum looks small on the outside, but once inside, it is really amazing. I spent probably two to three hours there, and saw most of the exhibits. The wealth of objects on display is excellent, and the presentation is terrific, professional, and informative. There were some kids' activities, but it was also a very satisfying experience for adults with... More

There are several rooms of exhibits, with artefacts from many different ages. The director is very proud of the Stone Age gold, and has overseen many improvements in recent years. There are working models for children, and an Anderson shelter in the garden - very relevant at the present time.

We didn't have enough time to see the whole exhibition but the 90 mins we spent there were amazing. I thought it would be a small museum requiring only a quick visit and while it is small, there is such a wealth of information to read and understand. Currently, they have a crop circles exhibition that is outstanding for it's... More

This is how museums should be, interesting, informative and packed with really good exhibits. I know that Wiltshire is overflowing with exciting finds but it is the way that they are shown that makes this place stand out. I just cannot say enough good things about the place so will be quiet and just say "go and see for yourselves".... More

Being new to Devizes and the local area this was the perfect introduction, without spending too much time or money. (Seniors £3.50pp). Various rooms take you through different periods of history with plenty of interactive displays and timely distractions for the young as well as the old. Numerous impressive collections and the crop circles exhibit just fascinating for the photography... More

Like all of the other reviews, do not be fooled by the small exterior to this building, there is a world of history within. It covers a comprehensive history of stonehenge, Avebury etc through to more recent times in Devizes - well and truly worth a visit!

Great little museum in Devizes - just on the street and no parking but found some on the street. Good admission price and they had some amazing pieces from Stonehenge and other dig sites...worth it!

Well worth a visit. Looks small from the outside, but large inside. Amazing gold collection from Stonehenge.
