Always houses an eclectic range of items from the area around Devizes, including Gold from Stonehenge. Nostalgia items from shops in the town to prehistoric finds. Something for everyone

Amazing Museum, with a stunning new gallery covering the Bush Barrow gold. (A must see!!!!) The displays were good and modern, loads of interactive activities for the kids. Friendly staff, and a excellent shop even if it is tiny. It's always a highlight of my day, when visiting the attraction.

Second visit to this gem of a museum, first time since the opening of new gallery with loads of stuff relating to Stonehenge and the prehistoric landscape around it. Great fun day out, loads of activities for kids, and excellent gift shop too. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Surprisingly good accessibility as well, especially for such an old building.... More

Plenty of good exhibits and even more interesting as most come from Wiltshire. Friendly staff. £4.95 admission is worth it and value for money. The Iron age section could do with some brighter lights.

We have now been able to fix the lights in the Iron Age gallery. The gallery was opened in 1968 and to repair the lights we had to replace more than we expected and it was considerably more difficult that we expected. I am sorry that the lights weren't all working when you visited. More

And I'm really glad he did, what a fantastic place to go too, with so many things to see and learn, I really enjoyed... More

A great little museum in its entirety, but its new Prehistoric Galleries are World Class. To see so many original artefacts on display is an absolute joy and while for most people it will be the Gold from the time of Stonehenge that impresses, for me it was the fabulous range of Prehistoric Pottery. Beautifully curated lots of interpretation.
