Don't forget to book a buggy as the hills will beat you! Linked to the excellent hotel and part of exclusive hotels , this is a challenging course in a beautiful setting
We've made our yearly pilgrimage to this course as a must visit for the past 6 years! Especially since "Exclusive Hotels" began their Waterfall Lodge offer which provides twin room accommodation adjacent to the 18th green, 18 holes followed by 3 course meal in the clubhouse, full breakfast next morning followed by another 18 holes on this glorious naturally sculpted... I could write a story about this place but today you get the short version. Wonderful golf course in superb condition; tough test but not punishing. Superb staff with good attention to detail. Great facilities and well maintained. Good food that is well cooked and served with a smile. Friendly members that invite you into their world. TOTALLY recommend and... More
A very hard walking course. A buggy is useful but detracts from the golf. On the upside , their are some great holes to play, and some not so good holes ( because of the terrain ).
Just got back from a weekend stay in the Waterfall Lodge. This is a beautiful and very testing golf course with some of the best holes I have seen. Lost count of how many bunkers are on this course! We had two nights stay with up to four rounds of golf with dinner, bed and breakfast. The pro shop staff... More
Great course- tricky, but excellent if you play well and some lovely holes. Buggies are a must !! There are long walks between tees and the course is very hilly in parts, but lovely holes. The 17th is a par three of 120 yards with a 100 foot drop.
This is a review of the golf club and not the hotel which is close but not attached. If going to the club make sure you have the right postcode or you will waste time at the hotel. Not at all a bad place to be but you don't want to miss your tee time as this course is well... More
A very scenic course that requires accuracy off the tee and is unforgiving in the rough, but it sets up well for the high handicappers, from the blacks it would be a beast but from the whites and yellows, and yes I am old enough for the yellows, its forgiving as long as you are straight. The greens are hard... More
Friendly and very helpful staff. Enjoyed lunch outside, looking out at the 1st and 18th holes. We thought it was a good value.
Absolutely stunning course, very challenging, but not ridiculous for any standard of player. I would recommend a buggy as very hilly between holes.
