Hardcastle Crags is the valley of the Hebden Water which joins the River Calder in the small market town of Hebden Bridge. It is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the British Isles. It is unspoilt, not at all commercialised and the scenery is truly breathtaking. The whole valley is beautifully tended by the National Trust. The... More

Great place for a sunday walk that more that a stroll in your locality but less than driving along way to a national park. Take a picnic if you have young kids and stop after a short way and they will play happily and safely at the waters edge while you have a brew and a chat under the trees More

Been a few times now and really enjoy the walk, the kids love it and its pretty easy going but very up and down. The cafe is ok too for a drink and something to eat. Be aware though that because its National Trust and aren't a member you do have to pay for parking. More

Some very nice walks around the wooded sides of the crags. This made a pleasant change from yomping along moorland paths or hiking up stony paths to mountain tops. More

A really good place to go for a gentle walk especially if you have young children with you. Look for the stepping stones and the ducks. More
