If you are a fan of Boccaccio, this is a wonderful stop. Very well presented. Only thing lacking was an English translation of Decameron.

The museum was amazing. Some artifacts dating back to 2 and 300 BC. You need to take your time and walk slowly soaking up the history and reading the english translations (bonus). The building itself is in incredible condition and very well preserved. I would have prefered to see more antiquities in the castle as opposed to some modern art.... More

The museum itself wasn't very interesting for us as a family as all the information was in Italian however the view of Certaldo from the tower made it something special. Worth the visit!

At this moment, only the view from the top of the tower is interesting; you have a nice look on Certaldo and environment. The museum itself is "re-organising" as noted on signs in the various rooms. Ask for their fancy cappachino-you won't be disappointed. They did a lovely mini reception for my wedding prior to us returning to our villa and wedding reception.

Interesting to see the home and learn more about the time of the plague and his history. Audio guides (free) a bit difficult to follow.

If you want to sit and watch the tourists and locals go by...do so here. The local cats took a liking to the little German girls and we all smiled. Casa di Boccaccio is known for its gelato and it is gorgeous but I chose to drink my calories in Persecco.
