We gave up on driving the Italian roads after day 1. Giacomo was a blessing. He is very knowledgeable of the local history and sites. Over the course of a week, we visited several towns, wineries, historical sites and a coffee shop in his home town of Certaldo for some very special lattes. He is a great guide, prompt, reasonably... My brother, sister, and I enjoyed a half day private wine tour of the Chianti Classico region with Giacomo and we all had a fabulous time! Giacomo is a local of Tuscany, and as such, he knows the places to go to receive friendly service & good wines while avoiding the tour buses. The winery visits were nice and informative,... More

Wow, what a tour guide!! Giacomo showed us all the sites for the week we were there. Multiple cites, wineries and historical venues. Our lead person created the tour with his help and we could not have been more pleased. We would recommend him highly! Four couples, five touring days, several pickups and drop-offs to the airport, and a fantastic... More

We enjoyed a phenomenal tour of the Tuscan Hills with our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Giacomo Cecarelli of Ghibellina Tours. He showed us some out of the way places (an organic working farm where we stopped for a delicious lunch) along with the beautiful hilltop towns. He enhanced the experience immensely.

First used his services in 2010, then in 2014 and again this year. He is very knowledgeable and cares about the region, its people and future. He always thinks of great little places to take us where the tourists usually don't go and will customize to your wishes. This year, we experienced an Italian train strike the day we were... More

We had a wonderful tour of the Chianti region with our tour guide. He made many fun stops in places we never would have known about and gave us information about Italian customs and culture. We enjoyed the tour so much that we hired Jacamo again for a second day of touring in his comfortable Mercedes van. Highly recommend this... More

I emailed Giacomo thanks to great ratings on TripAdvisor. I wanted to organise a Saturday tour of Chianti with him for a group of 14 adults. Unfortunately, he'd already been booked for that day (no surprise, he's clearly brilliant & quite rightly in high demand). The huge majority of tour companies would have left it at that - or not... When we were looking for a transfer within Tuscany, an independent tour guide recommended Giacomo from Ghibellina Tours. He was such a wonderful and knowledgeable driver, that we ended up hiring him for private tours for additional days in the area. Since he grew up and lives in Tuscany, he shared stories and traditions with us, further instilling our love... More

Giacomo is a great guide throughout the greater Chianti region. He was born in Certaldo and has many personal stories about the Italian culture, it's foods and especially the traditions behind making Chianti wines. He'll create a tour to your interests and will also include lunch at a wonderful agriturismo where the food is local and homecooked just for your... More
