I spent two weeks studying at LASS- One at the beginning of my 7 week stay in Nicaragua from January to March 2015 and one towards the end. I couldn't be more impressed with the teachers at this school and their approach to Spanish language instruction. On the first day Vanessa assessed my competence level and together we came up... I spent 2 months at the school with one on one lessons and homestays with local families. Everything was well organised and the school was always checking that I was happy with the arrangements. My teachers were changed every 2 weeks to broaden my learning experience. After leaving San Juan del Sur I realised that the school had actually managed... More

I couldn't recommend this school highly enough. All the teachers are well trained, patient, and very professional. I've been twice now, for a total of three weeks of one n one lessons and my Spanish improves considerably each time I go. I've now been traveling in Central America for nearly a year and am proud to say I am getting... More

Regardless of your current understanding of the Spanish language, these maestros will at the very least give you the material needed for success. Beyond that lies great fun and a feeling of significance, doing something other than surf and melt on those beautiful beaches! I will admit that it was challenging, but the professors are very patient and ready to... More

I originally signed up for 1 week but ended up doing an extra one as I really enjoyed the 1-1 classes and my teacher Vanessa was amazing. I had no Spanish when I started but they work at your own pace and are really organised with their classes. It was a lot to take in but I was surprised at... More

Very organized lesson plans that are flexible with your level of Spanish. Friendly, involved teachers, comfortable classroom atmosphere, and fun after-class activities. Great value for the price.

I enjoyed 10 weeks of Spanish lessons in early 2014 at Latin American Spanish School. They are very professional, reasonably priced and fun. My teacher was Mariel. She has over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish and knows how to make class fun as she is laid back and quick with a smile or laugh. Her English is very good... More

The week was tailored to my specific needs & being 1-1 was at exactly the right pace. The tutors are lovely & not only teach you Spanish, but about Nicaraguan life & culture. It was definitely the best language experience I've had. Big thanks to Lucia & the gang.

This school is great, very helpful with flexible learning hours to suit your holiday or travel plans. Our teacher's name was Mariel, very nice and helped us with numerous things out of school.
