This park is about an hour south of Xishuangbanna. We were able to hire a driver for 200RMB to take us their and back. At the park they have tour guides to tell you about what you will see (30RMB), however, you will need a translator to understand them (you have to bring your own). The entrance fee for the... More

The great trekking we had in Jinghong is really cool. The minorities are still traditonal in their costoms and habits in villages where are very close to Laos. In Jinghong city it is vey similar with Thailand's style for the buidings and very clean, less traffic and friendly people .We really like the 4 days we stayed in Xishuangbanna.

We walked into the rainforest with a guide who told us about a small tribe that lives there. Most likely you will need a translotor to understand the guide

We enjoyed the tour which didn't seem like a 'tour', walking through the tropical forest with friends. Very informative and entertaining.

One of best tourist things I've ever done, to meet villagers only discovered by the chinese government 18 years ago that cannot speak any mainstream languages and remain cutoff from the world in their traditional values. Give them one cigarette and they'll give you free local baijou to drink and fuss over you your entire visit. Have a friend take... More

To be honest, the views inside the Rainforest didn't meet my expectation, the plants with complicated names are not easy to remember, all of them look similar with each other...... The tour guide was good and with a great sense of humor, we were made to laugh by his funny words all the way, pretty much impressive. There were a... More

The rainforest is something not to miss in Xishuangbanna. It takes less than an hour to get there and than a peaceful time will start. During the visit we met some wild elephants and this was something great as in the entire region (China, Myanman and Laos) there are no more than 200 individuals left. The rainforest is accessible by... More

From childhood, I like plants and flowers. This summer, I paid a visit to Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest, the only oasis near Northern Tropic. It is humid and warm all year around. It was very hot in summer, lucky I brought one hat and one pair of sunglasses. But when we enter the forest, it becomes relatively cool. What impressed me... More
