'Enjoyed the beauty and ir's a nice place for a picnic or outing.

It was fun in the cool water with a small dam. A place for hiking and enjoying the natural environment. Many visits here as a child and a great spot for family reunions.

There is a nice sandy beach and cool water in a lake with a small dam. Changing houses and restrooms are available. Concessions open in summer. Historical information and hiking trails are sign posted.

One of my favorites to go for a picnic, hike or just to relax. Been going there since a kid and never gets old. Lots to see and do. From the furnace itself, to the museum, to volleyball, or taking a dip (though usually freezing) in the water; there is a lot to satisfy all. Love renting a pavilion here... More

We passed this park on the way to Whipple Dam State Park. After spending the day at Whipple, we returned to Greenwood Furnace around 4pm. Very nice area, and would love to spend a whole day here. Swimming area with beach was better than most state parks. The furnace and it's history were also very interesting. Not very busy at... More

Lovely spot for family fun. Safe beach for paddling, shallow waters for swimming and space for boating too.

Have visited this park many times - it's a hidden gem nestled in the mountains! The beach and lake are wonderful in the hot summer and the trees provide shade for the picnic area. There are bathrooms, showers with warm water, changing stalls and a snack bar that provides lunch fare and treats. The spillway is not to be missed... More

Unfortunately, the weather was not good when we visited, but you can tell it's a great place to spend a sunny day. Restrooms, picnic tables, covered area, jungle gym. dock. You could probably even canoe. Just lovely nature all around.

Grew up swimming in the lake and playing on the beach. Now that I'm older, I love to hike the several trails they have. Some of the extended trails are overgrown in May, but I got a machete for Christmas. Problem solved. We RARELY encounter anyone else on the trails. Peaceful. Serene. Still haven't seen Bigfoot.
