I recently visited Hersheypark on May 30, 2009 and went to the zoo as well. The smell is horrible when you first enter the exhibit room. The poor animals look so depressed. The aligators and crocs had really no room to move around in my opinion. There were a few animals who I thought were psychologically damaged. They just kept... more

Yes, as other reviewers have commented, this zoo is certainly smaller than many 'big city' zoos. However, I do think that they do a good job with the animals that they do have. I have always gone to the zoo as part of my Hershey Park ticket, and find it a welcome, more relaxing thing to do if I get... more

I thought this "zoo" was pathetic. As included with admission to Hershey Park, I was glad to have visited, but I could not imagine paying separate admission for this. It is only about 10 acres, and the exhibits for the bobcat and the aligator and crocodile are shockingly small. It was very disappointing. more

I wouldn't come here specifically for the zoo. I think Hershey should stick to what they know - chocolate. The kids enjoyed it but I've been to nicer places for less money. The whole tour around the zoo took us about 45 minutes. Probably 20 minutes of that spent in the bottleneck at the very beginning...they lead you through a... more

I lived in Harrisburg for 10 years and visited Zoo America once. It doesn't have a large selection of animals but it is fun for little children and wouldn't be overwhelming for them. Nice day trip for children...otherwise skip it. more

You can visit just the zoo by purchasing your ticket at the ZooAmerica year round entrance . But if you purchase a HersheyPark admission ticket--you will gain free admission to the zoo through HersheyPark. This is how I visit the zoo. I plan a whole day at HersheyPark. When I get tired of riding rollercoasters, I hop on over to... more

Like most have already said, this place isn't worth the time. They have a long ways to go to make it anything worth visiting. I'm glad we wandered over to see it free while in the park. We did sit through a reptile "show" that the kids enjoyed. After that we had a 10 minute walk around the park at... more

Our family recently visited ZooAmerica and we were disappointed by the size of the zoo. It took about 20 minutes total from start to finish and we were not impressed. If you still want to visit, make the trip while you are at Hershey Park (it's free from inside Hershey) and don't spend the money to visit seperately. more

A bunch of us went to Hershey Park and thought going to the zoo would be a neat thing. But this place is so little, it's over before you even know it. It's definitely not worth the money, unless you're the type who likes to throw it all away. :) more

My husband and I recently visited Hershey Park/ZooAmerica, and were very exicted to see that there was an exhibit of Gray Wolves in the zoo. That was until we saw the area where the wolves are kept. We think it is a wonderful idea to educate the public about wolves, but there is not enough room for the wolves to... more
