Love going to this place. Have researched ancestors and military interests there on numerous occasions, always illuminating. This as so many places in Harrisburg is a wonderful resource but limited in its enjoyment but the parking difficulty at times

The very helpful and knowledgeable staff here will guide around the library's many treasures. Especially notable is their statewide newspaper collection and the Genealogy and family history collections. Don't forget to look up to view the decorative ceiling!

The main library is organized in a fascinating five story atrium with the stacks on balconies surrounding the atrium accessed by narrow stairs or ancient lifts. The circulation and research staff are very helpful....
