If you love potato chips as much as I do, this is a tour you want to go on. Self driven tour, you can see chips being made from the time they roll of the truck until they are boxed for delivery! Free! Then visit the factory outlet store to ship home OR buy for the ride!

Great free tour! Awesome self-guided tour that follows the spud to the bag. You watch from a second-floor walkway thru windows seeing how the UTZ potato chips are made. Definitely a must see if you are in the York area. UTZ's :45 minutes of your time that you wouldn't have wasted.

It's free so you can't really bash it, but to our family this was our least favorite snack factory tour in PA. (Herr's was clearly our #1 pick, then Martin's at #2, Snyder's at #3 and Utz was a distant #4.) Why? Unlike the other 3 tours, this one does not have a human tour guide. Nor do you get... More

I cannot tell you how much fun this is! And it's FREE! My 11 year old loved it as did my husband and 67 year old mother in law! The employees waved up to us and learning about the chip making process was fun. Also, who doesn't love a free bag of chips at the end. My 11 year old... More

I took a friend and our combined 4 children who were aged 3-9 years old last week from Baltimore. It was about a 45-50 minute ride and wouldn't you know it... we followed an Utz truck there! Due to the age of the kids, we didn't really get a chance to stop and listen, watch or read everything that was... More

A self guided tour overlooking the factory floor. Watched the production of chips from potato to chip. Fun to watch how the chips are flavored, bagged and boxed. While watching the action below on the factory floor many of the workers would glance up and wave. We were surprised by their friendliness and thought they must really enjoy their job... More

It's been a long time since I've been on the tour but I always have enjoyed it. You get to see how many different bags of chips they do before you walk in. Get to see the potatoes on the line from the peeling to the bagging process. When you get to the end of the tour & see all... More

You get to see the real factory and how it works. It is great for kids and adults alike. The best part.... It's free!

We were there on a Friday, so no tours were being run. Not sure why they don't run them on Fri and Saturday. They could bring you through the plant to show the lines at least. The store was great. It is better than Snyder's store, but the prices were not quite as low. Still a bargain though. They were... More
