I've been in this park throughout the year since January 2013. We live only 3 miles from here so we visit frequently to cross-country ski, walk the trails & swim. The swimming beach is very nice with clear water. There are a Lot of rocks underfoot but you can usually see them so you don't hurt your feet. Water shoes... More

There is an area contiguous to Promised Land State Park, not far from exit 26 on Rt 84 for Rt 390 called Bruce Lake Natural Area. There is a beautiful lake that you can't get to by car, you have to hike in called Bruce Lake. Depending on which trail head you pick, you will also pass Egypt Meadow Lake.... More

This was by far our worst camping trip our family has taken so far. Let me just say the cabin we stayed in was "rustic." That's how they described it. We were very excited to go, but when we got there, the first thing we did was, of course, open the door, and a wave of musty smell hit us... More

Been coming here for about 25 years and plan to keep on going. We stayed at almost all sites and cabin's. It used to be better before parts of lower lake were shut down and now you have to set your rent up on a stone pad but its still a great park.

Loved this Park. Stopped on our way to Florida from New England to just enjoy the great outdoors. Stayed in the Beechwood section and was one of only 6-7 campers. Plenty of easy hikes and peace and quiet. Probably did 10-12 hikes and only saw 5-6 other hikers in total. We had only electric hook up. Bathrooms were spotless and... More

We camped here while passing through traveling on I84 and found a real gem. We would return and stay for days. The campsite we had on Pickerel Point had a full hookup, woods between our neighbors and a trail to the lake behind us. No wifi, no cable, no problem. Restrooms were clean and park rangers patrolled occasionally. There was... More

Our family camped here 8/6/15-8/9/15. What a great experience. We were concerned about the campsites because we have a rather large tent but the site we chose worked great. We camped in Deerfield site 219. It was very nice and we only had neighbors on the one side as the other has woods between it. It is the farthest from... More

Great secluded place (if you pick the right campground). We camped at the Pickerel Point Campground at sites 171 and 172. They are right next to each other, near the lake, and very secluded. It may be difficult for anyone with any mobility issues as the car must be parked about 25 yards away. One other issue was the ground,... More

Will have to say the Park Rangers responded promptly when an unpleasant incident took place across from our site. Suffice it to say the family involved were not pleasant folks to have as neighbors which made for a very unpleasant disturbing weekend except for the last night after they were evicted. The camping was as advertised except when we arrived... More
