Beautiful Drive to Winery and Decent Tour

Went with friends and had a lovely hour and a half. We had a living social coupon, so received the 30 minute interesting tour and then the wine tasting of all their wines. Our... read more

My sister and I thought we would try the wine tasting since we never have before. It was sooo interesting and the gentlemen that was teaching us was great. I would highly recommend trying it

Passed by this winery on previous day trips in the area and always wanted to go one day.. Really enjoyed the guided tour and entertaining tasting. Beautiful place and a very friendly staff. Would definitely go back and bring some of our friends.

We planned this excursion when my sister in law was visiting. Thankfully the weather was perfect October weather: blue skies, warm sun, cool breezes. The food at the Wine-Tober Fest was all German and delicious! We added the wine tasting after the meal and had a great time meeting new people. Lots of good wine and good laughs.

Stopped here with a group of friends after visiting a gallery opening at Sterner Mill. You enter grand gates, travel up a gravel path...all very charming. Then before your eyes appears a castle looming in the distance. Rows and rows of grapes and the rolling hills remind you of a vineyard in Tuscany. Great location for an awesome winery, right?... We recently spent a long weekend in delightfully quaint, historic Frenchtown, NJ and the vicinity. One of our sightseeing stops was the eye-catching Sand Castle Winery. The wine-tasting experience involved 40-50 people standing on both sides of a very long table listening to the vinter high on a ladder comically chatting about the wine. Each person was given a glass... More

This was my first winery visit so in all honesty I have no basis for comparison. However, my friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The tour was brief but informative and the guide, whose name I think is Anthony was friendly and patient and even allowed me to videotape his presentation. I liked the wines so much I left... More

I went through the tour and wine tasting.. The tour was very quick, with little insight. The tasting consisted of lining us up on both sides of a long table where we tasted a number of wines, all of which we disliked. The one positive was the "barker" who explained the wines. All in all, this was not worth the... More
