We visited this zoo again, because the last time we were in Erie, it was pouring rain (we visited anyways). This time, it is near the end of the season. On this day, it was very cool and cloudy, so the zoo was deserted. It was all decorated for Halloween, which was fun, but several of the animals were already... More

On our way home from Buffalo we stopped by the zoo. Due to the weather changing they charge you half price. Most of the animals were not out due to the weather but we did get to see lions, giraffe, rhinos among others. My family was very please with what we saw even though the zoo is only 15 acres.

The Erie Zoo has come a long way in the last 50 years. It is not too large so you can see the whole zoo in one day. It is especially great if you have children infant to 12. We have grandchildren of all ages up to 17 that come to Erie and still want to see our zoo even... More

Our son had a great time from 6-9 on a Friday night w/ pizza, games, carousel rides, animal visits, etc! Friendly staff - will definitely go again!

To say we enjoyed our visit to the Erie Zoo would be an understatement, this zoo is not the largest zoo but its a beautiful park, well maintained, animals look to be well taken care of. They are doing some maintenance on some new habitats so should be even nicer when finished, well worth the trip if in the area

My boyfriend and I traveled here on vacation. The zoo is small but very nice. It had a lot of interesting animals including giraffes, red pandas, and meerkats. We rode the merry go round and enjoyed the botanical gardens. This place was top notch.

While in erie on business I decided to check out their zoo and it turned out to be really nice. I am from St. Louis and frequented the famous St. Louis Zoo all the time so my zoo standards are really high. This zoo dots not disappoint! Although not as many animals there was a ton of interesting things to... More

Unlike the big city zoos you visit you don't walk for miles without seeing a single thing. They are constantly remodeling. If you're visiting more than once, buy a membership as it's the least expensive way to go. Lots of newly designed areas to view the animals. Gift shops, small places to eat & a large picnic area. The zoo... More

This is a nice small zoo to spend part of a day at. It cost us $27 for a family of four. The grounds are clean and well laid out. There were many interesting animals. Our boys really liked the rhinoceros and alligator. There was a large exhibit area under construction while we were there, but it looked like it... More

I love going on opening day. It's always free thanks to the generosity of Bob Sanders. It might be cold and snowing but it's still a lot of fun. Be sure to come back in summer when the train is running and all of the animals are out. It might not have all of the animals that it used to.... More
