A small scale zoo, which is undergoing renovations, interesting displays and exhibits - worth the stop.

Is it as big as zoos like Pittsburgh or Cleveland,no. What our zoo lacks in size it makes up in heart. A very manageable trip for family's with little ones or senior citizens. Yet it still has plenty to see. There's even some free time on Sundays.

This zoo had a natural layout which makes sense. You follow a general path through the entire zoo without having to back track any of your steps. The new exhibits are really impressive as well.

I have really enjoyed the expansion of our zoo in recent years. Even as an adult, I love to visit the zoo. The Erie zoo is clean and the layout and gardens are very enjoyable. There is a nice amount of various animals to view. The price is reasonable and the parking is free. Kids will love the kids area... More

The exhibits are never the same always changing. The park blends well with it's environment, it looks like it's part of the woods that surround it. only draw back I've noticed in the last few years is the lack of employees readily available to help with things. Say you don't know where something is and you want to ask no... More

I have been to plenty of great zoos and Erie is not one of them. For a small zoo it does do its best to create an enjoyable day but for the most part this was a quiet zoo with some outdated exhibits. Highlights include the Wild Asia exhibits with the Orangutans and the Kiboka Outpost home to Rhinos and... More

We have had a membership to the Erie Zoo for 10 years now and I plan on having one for many more years. It is a great size zoo. You could just spend a couple hours there or the whole day. It seems that every year they add something new or update something in the zoo. The train ride is... More

Fun, clean, many animals to see, pet, feed (where appropriate) and meet new animal friends. And, some of the food is healthy and delicious! Just a great way to spend a day!
