Kinda cool, like a stone's throw back to a life long ago! You must go at least once! We really enjoyed it.

The County Theater was on the verge of bankruptcy when a non-profit group was formed and took ownership. In many ways the vibrancy of downtown Doylestown is linked to that auspicious moment. An arthouse theater that carries first run films from independents, Europe, and more and hosts numerous special events (like Saturday matinees for children that include old classics like... More

There are so few places like this left anywhere. The movie choice is eclectic and the non-profit vibe is warm.

Have always enjoyed a trek to The County Theatre. Seats are not comfortable, but a near by theatre, in a little town, I adore, where we have an opportunity to view films, not available at the larger theatres. Last time, we were there, my husband sat on the aisle, my brother sat behind him. The seats are small, both guys... More

As a member we get discount tickets. This movie theater always has a movie or two that would appeal to every age. It is a wonderful spot in Doylestown, and their popcorn is great! Everyone should get an annual membership to support this attraction.

I used to be in a movie club that met while kids were in school - loved it. They show really good films here last one I saw was "The Drop" - always comfortable and clean and I appreciate that they have weekday events.

My husband and I recently went to two movies at The County Theater with friends. Very few theaters would run them and do such a marvelous job. We saw two Alfred Hitchcock silent a movies with live music... Outstanding example of the sorts of movies shown there.

Small, charming, not-for-profit theater. A great place for a date, to meet friends or go alone. They show current movies (more along the art/quality kind than blockcusters) and themed oldies (Hitchcock).

Also special showings of classic films on the big screen. They often show silent movies with newly composed music. If you enjoy independent films, then this is the place to be.
