This home gives a view of Frank L Wright that is not as well known I don't think. This home is a modified usonian home. Several of the principles from Fallingwater can be seen here as well as some special techniques unique to this home. The guide I had for this tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. She pointed out... More

My second visit was really special. We attended their monthly jazz event. Several guides were available to talk about the home. The hors d' oeuvres, wines and jazz trio were excellent. Don't miss it. More

Kentuck Knob is a simpler FLlW house than Falling Water, but special in it's own right. It is based on Wright's USONAian concept of affordable homes with style. This is a 2200 sq ft enlargement of the 1100 sq ft basic home. Hexagons appeared throughout the house, the most interesting use was skylights over the cantilevered terrace which created a... More

We arranged for Sunday brunch on Easter. The five of us had personal attention of a docent throughout the meal, which was served in a private space which was originally designed as the Hagans’ art room, but since been redecorated in a Wright style. The host then provided a private tour of the stunning premises. As she knew Mrs. Hagan,... More

Just 15 minutes from Falling Water, this house was built for a family with less money and around twenty years Wright's more famous work. It's fascinating to go to both sites to get a sense not just of the individual works, but how organic architecture affects one's bring. You can get a nice sense of the house with the tour... More

Beautiful home with awe inspiring views. The "art" garden was a little weird. More

Took advantage of the early spring weather to visit the other FLW house with my husband, our two kids (7 and 12), and a family friend (13). Everyone had a good time! The house tour was interesting. FLW designed the house in his 80s and made numerous concessions to his original design so it's like you're not seeing the same... More

Really enjoyed this house. We had toured Fallingwater several times and this was a treat to see another Frank Lloyd Wright home in the area. More

This is a place to miss, unless you are a Frank Lloyd Wright obsessive fan. It was expensive, rushed, extremely unfriendly staff, and all-around unpleasant experience. Our teens were singled out for specific monitoring, despite conducting themselves with respect to the home. Pre-teens were forbidden entrance. This place could have really encouraged an interest in architecture. Instead, the staff seemed... More

I think I actually liked Kentuck Knob better than Fallingwater and I LOVE Fallingwater. Frank was a genius of architecture. I especially loved the kitchen. Everything is so compact. No wasted space. More
