Great staff, well organized, but crowded

Very well staffed, with great and patient instructors. Very long lines for the lifts. We didn't like how many of the runs cross and combine, and I felt like I was constantly... read more

Very well staffed, with great and patient instructors. Very long lines for the lifts. We didn't like how many of the runs cross and combine, and I felt like I was constantly looking over my shoulder with the 'merging' traffic. The food at the resort is equivalent to baseball game quality, and about the same price. Think double and then... More

Mid-Atlantic skiing is icy so if you're used to powder the conditions will slap you in the face. That aside the facility is nice and they offer runs for all levels.

The 2-sided mountain is the key to Liberty. The back side (east) is only intermediate (blue) trails and a few advanced (black) while the front side is all beginner/novice (green) slopes, plus terrain parks and a couple of easy blacks. This configuration keeps the three groups (beginner, advanced, terrain park) mostly separated, resulting in much lower lines than their sister... More

Liberty Mountain Resort and its sister resort, Whitetail provide a great local ski experience, just across the border In Pennsylvania within easy access of Washington, DC area. Our family wait for ski season each year and are regular visitors to both. My14 year old learned to ski at Liberty when he was 7. A winter weekend is not complete for... More

This is one of three nearby ski resorts from DC (the other two are Whitetail and Roundtop). Went there for the first time on Sunday. It's pretty small, with slightly more trails than Roundtop but less than Whitetail. Overall quite flat, other than a couple of short double blacks not very challenging, but very good for beginner skiers or boarders,... More

Small but close to DC, the usual small icy east coast hills. Make reservations in advance for the fun little daycare. Good place for a daytrip or overnighter from Washington area.

Went to Carroll Valley Golf Course at Liberty Mountain and it was a great experience. The course was in fantastic condition and the pace of play was very good despite having several large groups there that day. The six par 3's and the six par 5's make this a unique course to play. I would highly recommend it to all... More

Went there for a day of skiing and snowboarding. Took skiiing lessons and had a great time. The instructors were very nice & did a great job. Decided to try our hand at snowboarding later in the day & were able to just switch out equipment. Had a great time.

We have been to Liberty every year as this is a short drive from home. It's small but busy. A lot of locals come just for the day. The small lodge is convenient for weekend stays but for longer ski trips, I'd opt for another destination. My son learned to ski and snowboard here and we will always return for... More

I went with the whole family, different ages and fitness levels. We got there a bit late in the afternoon,so we spent about two hours snow tubing at night, which was just the right amount of time. It was incredibly fun! None of us had done this before, we had an absolute blast. The drive to and from D.C. Was... More
