The theater is both a movie theater and a performing arts theater. Situated smack dab in the heart of Carlisle, this little gem is as pretty inside as the outside old art deco style marquee is handsome. The theater hosts not only performers like George Winston at Christmastime and Barleyjuice for St. Pattys', it also plays host to local theater... More

love seeing movies in this theatre! it just feels like a special place - comfy seats, great concession stand, lovely decor - it feels like stepping back in time; and the movie offerings are usually artsy, which aren't always offered in the mainstream theatres

Been there while visiting a friend's friend. Had something bite to eat nearby. There are quite number eateries around. The theatre building is also good and renovated nicely. We watched an independent film which we heard is very typical for here. However as many say in here the sound quality was really not good.

We are regular customers to this theater which we love and happens to be three blocks from where we live. We also appreciate and enjoy the selection of movies. But as others have mentioned, the sound is a huge problem. And they know it. But money is an enormous consideration. And now they face the fact that in a short... More

Nice older theater in town. Usually plays foreign films and limited times. In downtown with cute places to eat nearby. Not a Cineplex venue but nice for a change on a rainy day in Carlisle.

It's great to have a small town movie house showing independent films in the neighborhood. We go, though, mostly to see foreign films where we can read the subtitles because the acoustics are flat out bad. This summer we went to a live performance of a play and could barely understand what the cast was saying. At the recommendation of... More

We attended the free Sousa Concert and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love old theaters and we definitely plan on going back for a future performance. The acoustics are excellent.

I pay $6 as a senior to see a movie at the Carlisle Theatre that is 5 minutes from my house. The movies arrive a month or more after playing at other theaters. The sound quality for movies varies. On 7/13/2012 I and everyone else could not understand what the actors said in "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." On 7/20/2012... More

Small home town theatre. Felt like I was transported back in time, yet the theatre was spacious and clean
