We had a wonderful time on our wagon tour of a farm with our guide. He was a very nice and informative Mennonite gentleman. He answered everyone's questions and gave us a great insight into the Amish & Mennonite lifestyle. Next time we return we will pay the heftier price tag and do the much much longer your (over $100... My family and I are visiting Lancaster County, PA. There are many ways to experience the Amish. One of them is by taking a buggy ride. Aaron and Jessica's Buggy Rides was a good one. Our driver was Ashley - an Englishwoman. She did a good job steering the horses and narrating what we were seeing. We did the half... More

I took my daughters on the "cookie run" tour and we all enjoyed it. The driver , Ashley wasn't Amish but was full on useful knowledge and very pleasant. We purchased homemade root beer and lemonade and some cookies from some cute Amish boys at the farm. We saw how the Amish live along with lots of farms. Would definitely... More

Life in the country is never dull. Often folks ask me if our young people stay and join church. Yes.. is the answer. Then they ask why? I tell them.. "the food is good". OK.. and so is our sense of humor. We are please that you enjoyed your visit. Come back soon and blessings. More

My family and I arrived at 9am on July 21st for the Cookie Tour. A party of 8, 5 adults and 3 children. We were the 3rd family in line. We were told it would be just a few minutes as no one else was waiting. Well, more and more people did arrive and after waiting for more than one... More

Thanks for your feed back. All carriage rides in Lancaster County are regulated by zoning.... routes, number of carriages of wagons and so on. Carriages and wagons have routes which are varied so as to avoid major wear on roads particularly from the horses iron shoes. Sometimes is may appear that folks who arrived after, you leave before you, but... More

We took the buggy ride, to visit a homestead. The driver was excellent. He had such informative answers. We saw how they, store the milk and the cows in the barn.the beautiful flower gardens, children playing, yes, playing. Had a chance to buy and taste some good cookies, make by the lady of the house.

This was a very disappointing ride. Technically the advertising is accurate, but the "authentic" covered bridge has been moved or built on the parking lot of the buggy ride center. I don't believe the driver was actually Amish, either, just dressed like one, because he said we could take photos. The "buggy" was also not a real buggy, but one... More

Dear Mr Joke: Yes, our advertising is accurate. Yes, your driver was an Old Order Amish church member. While we do not "pose" for photos as such, when asked Amish folks may as a courtesy to you... allow you to take a photo. Why didn't you ask you driver instead of making a vindictive and critical statement about your hosts?... More

Our buggy driver was very nice, knowledgable and personable. He took us thru farm area, off the main road and explained a bit about Amish life in Lancaster. Would definitely go again. This is a nice ride for couples, families or single people.

A nice afternoon buggy ride through Amish farmlands. You get to meet people from all over the world, you stop at an Amish farmhouse and can buy cookies and root beer made by the Amish people. Nice way to wind down after a day of shopping.

Shopping yes... and there are a great deal of Amish shops in our area... quilt supplies, toys, harness, wagons, baking goods, bulk foods; the list goes on and on. We are happy that you were relaxed and enjoyed your visit and tour. Blessings More

This was a well spent half our on a Sunday morning. Our entire family went and we not only saw beautiful Amish farms but got a course with questions and answers from our guide on Amish life. The only I would warn people about is that the program and tours is scaled back on Sundays because they cannot take people... More

Sundays are wonderful. Often in our district you can see all the carriage gathered 'round one farm where they are holding church. Church last Sunday was in our next-door neighbors barn. Wonderful. Come visit us. God bless More

Don't miss the experience of the buggy ride. Great fun and a good way to see the Amish farms and countryside!

Nothing... like seeing the world from a buggy. I often point out to folks that this time of year there are at least 15 different types of wild flowers growing along the roads. That's hard to nocie at 55mph. Thanks for the good word. Safe travels and thanks for stopping. :)) More
