It was a gross and rainy day, but this made the day awesome!! We rode to a small little shop on the side of the road and had the most amazing whoopie pies (I've tried to replicate, but no such luck). If we ever return to PA, this will be the first thing to do on our list.

My husband and I were doing some sights in the Lancaster area and Abe's Buggy Rides was on the list. There are other buggy rides in the area, but from the research that I have done they have bigger buggy's so if you want something a little more intimate w/ just a spouse or something Abe's is the perfect choice.... Just turned up this morning Monday Nov 25th at 9am. There was a closed sign up but I thought it referred to yesterday (Sunday) but it appears that it is indeed closed. The website said that it closes from Nov 27th but maybe its too cold to open until then. We walked around to look for Abe, and we waited... More

Hubby and I visited this attraction while he was working in the area. Our guide was great and he took us on a short tour through the local Amish community and shared tidbits of information with us. The attraction is located on a residential lot that the business rents from the owner. There is a petting farm and swings for... More

The couple that run this buggy ride are so cute and friendly. They are a small outfit, but the rides are individual and not in with another 10 people who can be rude or obnoxious. Very slow ride and very informative.

We took the 45 minute buddy ride, which we wish was longer! If we do this again, we will definitely take a longer one. The facilities were clean and they had a cute petting zoo type thing with chickens, goats, and a horse for while you wait. The horses and buggies were very well taken care of. Our driver was... More

While researching our trip to PA, I read reviews about several buggy ride vendors and concluded Abe's would be our best bet. I was correct - our experience with Abe's was wonderful. We opted for the 4.5 mile ride. Our driver was Earl who is Amish and was very willing to talk about the Amish, their beliefs and way of... More

I've been in Amish country before, but I wanted a personalized tour. Also, I was by myself this time. We were on a business trip in Philadelphia. I drove out to Bird-in-Hand by myself. I liked that the tour was not with other strangers. In fact, I noticed several other tour groups with 8or more people on a wagon. I... More

We decided on this buggy ride because we did not want to be jammed in with a bunch of other people. All of Abe's rides are private no matter the number of people. We learned many things and all of the people working there were so nice! Try the homemade rootbeer! And feed the goats.

We took a buggy ride thru the amish farms, it was a very relaxing ride. There was 2 horses and the ride was about 20 minutes. The driver was very informative of the different farms.
