We took the 1.5 hour buggy ride. We were so happy to see a lot of farms and properties as we drove the back roads. Our driver, Paul, was very knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. We stopped at Bird In Hand Bakery for a few minutes. Got out of the buggy and had homemade salt pretzels. Delicious. It was... More

We took the 1.5 hour buggy ride (there were a shorter and a longer one). We had already had a bus tour, so we just wanted the experience of the buggy ride. The driver was very friendly and well-informed. Saw some beautiful countryside and learned a lot about the Amish.

My wife and I spent three days visiting the Amish country. One of the highlights was the 40 minute buggy ride with Abe's grand daughter narrating & driving the carriage. A wonderfully paced 5 mile ride through the backroads and farmlands of the Amish people. She was very friendly, insightful and provided both an historical and personal touch of the... More

We went on the 30-minute buggy ride last Saturday. We had a great time with an informative driver who talked about Amish and Mennonite life and the general area. He was also responsive to our questions. It was a great way to slow down and experience a taste of the area.

We chose Abe's because we got a private ride in an authentic buggy. We enjoyed the 2 mile ride. They have a number of rides to choose from. The driver did not talk or provide information unless / until we asked, but she answered any questions we did ask. If you are looking for a true tour guide I would... More

My family took a buggy ride with Abe's and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Lancaster County. We did the 30 minute tour, which took us out into the countryside. I had heard from other people that other buggy operators arrange stops at places where you feel like they're trying to sell you something, however that is... More

We took a tour through the countryside, and had a wonderful experience. Our buggy driver was female and she was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. She told us all about how the Amish live and answered many of our questions! Our one year old loved it too! He saw many animals and really enjoyed the area where he could pet the... More

Great place. While we waited for our ride we got to feed the goats my wife loves animals. Our ride was very informative friendly driver and his young son. Even stopped for a lemonade from a young boy with a roadside stand. Great time!

We really liked our driver who explained a lot about the Amish community and the differences between the Mennonites and the Amish. That part was great. We really didn't get to see much from the buggy ride that we couldn't see from the car. We took the 45 minute trip and probably could have gotten the same experience with one... More

We took a private hour long buggy ride that stopped at both an Amish home and a bakery. Our driver/guide was so sweet and informative! He answered all of our questions and even made an extra stop for us. The Amish children at the home brought us into their basement where they were selling homemade things (blankets, clothes, hair clips,... More
