This was our first time here! They were having an "after hours party" with a band so we thought this would be great! Wines were good. Wish the road up to the winery was paved...a little rough on the car to drive up on the rocks. Beautiful view!

Wow, what a lovely setting and winery. The building is beautiful with exceptional views. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that they also offered hard ciders. We had a very knowledgeable server. She kindly explained each and every offering allowing us time to choose what we wanted to sample. The tasting fee is very low and the pours were enough... More

I absolutely love going up the hill to Hauser Estate Winery! It's a great way to escape from life's little annoyances -- fabulous view, terrific staff and wonderful wines and ciders! Pack a lunch or snack, bring a book or laptop, or just enjoy the 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and valleys as you sip a glass of wine.... More

I usually buy only sweet or semi sweet wine, but these guys have some great dry wines. They also have several hard ciders, made from their own apples. The driveway is long and gravel, so drive carefully, the winery at the top of the hill is worth the dust on your car.

Thanks! My car is always dusty! I gave up washing it years ago. More

I really enjoy visiting the Hauser shop on the square in Gettysburg. I have always been treated well by the staff there, especially Grace. I love the cozy atmosphere and being able to sit and people watch or pop into one of the other stores nearby. There is no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Gorgeous setting, excellent service and fantastic wine and cider. The cheese selection is excellent. I had the Granny Smith cider which was awesome. The Jenny Wade White was an excellent wine.

Hauser Estates turned out to be a jewel. With breathtaking scenery, great wines (both white and red) and hard ciders (was my first time trying and I loved them) and an exceptionally knowledgable staff, this is a must stop relaxing place for the traveler or the local. Family (I took a 3 and 5 ear old) and dog friendly.

The main winery has a fabulous view. The girl working the counter was not very friendly. Wines were mediocre. The downtown Gettysburg shop was very uninviting. We were not greeted warmly at all and the lady working offered very little advise/recommendations on their wines. Adams County Winery and Reid's Winery were much more inviting and very friendly! Will not return... More

I am sorry that your visit wasn't up to standard. We do listen to all of the comments and are constantly trying to improve. First impressions are very important, as are second chances. I hope that you would try us again if you are in the Gettysburg area. Thank you. More

OK, I can't tell you if the Hard Cider is any good or not as we didn't taste any, the wines were fairly good. But the view was spectacular! Be prepared, they charge for tasting as do not deduct the charge ($3 per person) if you buy wine. This is not California so found this most unusual. I would not... More

Thanks for you response, and we do love our location! We are one of many wineries in Pennsylvania that charge for tastings. We established tasting fees to help keep the cost of purchasing wine down and for the safety of our guests. Since we have a six wine flyte, and each sample is an ounce, we think of it as... More

We visited Hauser Winery on the Saturday before Memorial Day. The place is nice and the view is great, but that's about all I can say. The place was packed, and the employees were not very friendly. In fact, we didn't even get to do the wine tasting. When we entered the building, an employee there referred us to another... More

I am sorry about the miscommunication the day you visited. We do end our tastings at 4pm so that we can get ready for our free concerts every Friday and Saturday. There may have been people still doing a tasting that had arrived earlier. Regardless, I do apologize and hope that you will come see us again. Thank you. More
