I only wish there was more open on Sundays. This is a great route to just take off on and grab a dinner along the way or hit some shops or just enjoy the view.
I've driven all of PA's lincoln Highway form Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and i especially love the Heritage Corridor from Ligonier to Abbottstown. Yes it is longer and it is mostly two lane driving, but how nice to be able to take tthe time and enjoy the scenery and look to find some of the old unrestored locations along the Old... More
Where else can you see the worlds largest coffee pot, the worlds largest quarter and a heard of bison within 1/2 hour of each other? Fun trip.
just a country road. tourist sights are few & very far between. your tax dollars wasted (and then some) on the old coffee pot (hotel) now moved to Bedford Fairgrounds. Ship hotel at "grandview" was burnt by arson & its former sight is interesting but nothing I'd drive more than 100 feet to see. Most of road is tedious to... More
Hills are intense between Breezewood and Chambersburg but interesting drive if you have the time. Took the turnpike back

You end up on historic Route 30/Lincoln Highway as part of other exploration types of activities... very scenic road, not a whole lot of shopping, but some cute shops along the way.

The rest was a ride I NEVER want to repeat! East of the Flight 93 Mem we entered either a fog bank or a cloud field. Combine a 2 lane road (definitely not a... More
We rode this from Somerset to Gettysburg just to see some of this historic road. The road is a pleasant alternative to the PA turnpike passing through some quaint little towns. Great scenic road with very little traffic and good road conditions. Try it you'll be glad you did!
