We love coming to the Oregon coast. It is spectacularly beautiful. Whether you are just watching the waves or looking for spouting whales, it nature at it's best. We drove up to Heceta Head lighthouse & the Sealion caves. We saw groups of sea lions everywhere. We hiked up Cape Perpetua & saw the giant spruce, it was 12-14 foot... More

Yachats is an incredibly charming village on the central Oregon coast. Slightly more than 600 year-round residents, but a tourist and weekend destination for people in the populated Willamette Valley, and a go-to site in Oregon for visitors from further away. Good restaurants (at least a handful), ocean-front lodging, hiking trails, frequent craft fairs, etc. A place for a special... More

A bunch of us older friends got together to celebrate our birthdays and stumbled on a great find. Searose Beach House!!! She is an older "Well Loved" home right on the beach. Sit on the deck or at the large dining room table and enjoy your morning coffee. Either way you have a front row seat to one of Oregons... More

Great rocky shoreline with beaches ready to be combedm - a hidden gem South of the overpopulated "Portland weekender" locations.

Really rugged coastline - a gale was approaching and made everything dramatic and beautiful. Lots of sea lions and a great vantage point for whale watching.

Flew in to surprise my best friend for her 40th! Rented a beach house with spectacular views! We witnessed wales blowing their spouts & sea lions swimming in all from the comfort of our rental! We love the Oregon coastline & go every year. We see something new every time & it never gets old!

We stayed in Yachats for 5 days in early March 2015. Every single day we saw whales, lots of them, mothers and their babies playing off of the rocks near the end of 7th street. These were not more than a couple hundred yards off the rocks, and were there every single afternoon after the tide came in. As for... More
