I could spend a whole lot of time in Yachats! Such a great little town that has such a great little beach - could spend days just sitting and watching the waves. It is quiet and mostly undiscovered!

This area exceeds the Seaside, Cannon Beach and Astoria areas for beauty and peace and quiet. If you enjoy easy hikes, tide pools, beaches, quiet sunsets, excellent dining this area is a gem. Add to it the proximity to Cape Perpetua and it is a double bonus.

Cape Perpetua stone hut was fantastic view of coast. Better than Big Sur!! Drove south to Florence and saw Elk in a preserve next to the road. Hwy 138

Yachats and its coastline is to be visited calmly. Take all the time in the world and you will be rewarded. Give yourself that gift. Always carry good shoes, sun protector, light raincoat, a small snack and water. You will be hypnotized by this place and you will want to be stay longer and longer. Definitely worth it. For the... The Yachats coastline has something for everyone. Part of the coastline is rocky and full of tide pools. Other parts are wide open sandy beaches. There is also a walking trail that extends for 7+ miles from the town of Yachats up the coastline. The access to the beach from the roads is easy. Beware of sneaker waves if you're... More

This photo looks like it was taken from Cape Perpetua. The 101 highway shown below is very curvy and narrow along this part of the Oregon Coast and you drive with a constant fear of coming around a corner at the legal speed of 55 mph upon a bicyclist who has no room to move over and an oncoming car.... Family likes the privacy and varied terrain. Some really great sandy beaches as well as rocks to climb and explore and certainly tide pools and sea life. Bummed about the star fish die-off but they appear to be coming back!

Shhh! Don't tell anyone, but the 804 trail in Yachats is one of the most spectacular walks you can take along the Oregon Coast. The scenery is breathtaking and very romantic. In fact, it is a popular location for those who want an unconventional wedding in a beautiful outdoor setting. Start at the Adobe Resort Hotel and head north. The... More

Just about anywhere in town, pull off to the coast and watch the waves pound the rocks and the sand. The Oregon Coast is beautiful and there's not a more picturesque spot than Yachats.
