Pacific Coast Highway, Highway 101, is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. There are so many great places to stop, shops and unique restaurants to checkout. The view is amazing, definitely not to miss. Don't rush your drive, take time to completely enjoy it

Always make a day of it at the wild waves. Beautiful beachside wayside right in town.As you come in town, stop at the candy store for something yummy.

My wife and I flew from Anchorage, AK to Portland, OR to attend our grandson's wedding. We decided we would also make a vacation of it and spend a couple of weeks doing the Oregon Coast. So far after only 4 days on the coast, from Astoria to Florence, the views have been fantastic! We are looking forward to getting... More

There is nothing like the Beautiful Oregon Coast. It's one of the most amazing drives anyone could take. Make sure you take all the scenic side roads. Stop and watch the whales when they are making there way north in the spring, or south in the fall. Stop at the Sea Lion Caves and go down the elevator to see... More

I had never been to the Oregon coast before and was stunned by the beauty and the wildness. One beach would be calm and sandy. Around the bend the beach would be full of lava rocks carved by the sea. Wildlife abundant with whales, sea lions, seals, birds, falcons, hawks, etc.

This a beautiful place along the coast with a less commercial feel and more hometown businesses ready to serve you.

The sea lion caves was interesting, however there was no seals in it when we stopped. Just down the coast there was lots of them next to shore from a look out point north of there. Lots of fun at the light house, interesting piece of history. The pull outs along 101 provided walking and finding sea shells. That was... More

All along the central Oregon coast. By far and away, the area around Yachats is the crème de la crème of the central Oregon coast. From Heceta Head on the south to Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation site to the North. There is something for everyone.

This is the essence of the Oregon coast. The breathtaking panoramas, stunning trails and viewpoints, sandy long beaches and amazing nature creations such as sea wells, spouts and tidepools not to mention the vastness of the sand dunes and beautiful wildlife. If you had to choose only one place on the west coast you want to see, that would be... More
