Yachats is a sweet little town with locally owned restaurants and shops and wonderful beachs for playing. Sea stars, anemones, mussels and small fish--these are just a few of the beautiful creatures you will find in the tide pools on the rocks behind the Fireside Motel. But check a tide table before you go out, and hike along the rocky shore with great care. There are plenty of places to slip and fall if you're not careful.... more
Beatiful! Gorgeous! Drive up to the top of the promintory and take some pix looking out over the ocean from 800ft up. Better yet, take a picnic, as there's a great park up there. Also take the hike to the cove and visit Devil's Churn. Check high tide, that's when it's best. more
This parkland, accessible by taking a right onto Yachats Ocean Road off of highway 101 southbound immediately after you cross over the Yachats River, offers almost sublime panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and rocky coastline.
