Yachats is a pretty little village with a picturesque rocky coastline. Several shops and restaurants and a sandy beach. The sea lion caves are not far away and there are a number of small beaches along the way. This would be travelling south.

There is a walking path along the ocean where you can walk into town with lots of benches along the way so you can sit and enjoy the fabulous views. It is rocky with large surf and crashing waves.

Enter the beach from any number of public access points and walk on silky sand for miles - literally. What more could you ask of a coastline. Thank you State of Oregon for this very special treat. Other points of access lead you to a rugged coastline of volcanic rocks with dramatic, crashing waves.

The Oregon Coast is very beautiful, but Yachats in particular will take your breath away. It is truly one of the most beautiful places on this earth. You can easily sit on the beach or at a viewpoint and watch the ocean for hours. I wish I could live here!

We were driving up the Oregon Coast and enjoyed stopping to see the scenic Yachats coastline. The weather was warm and the sun was shining.

An interesting and unusual stretch of coastline that's a contrast to the rest of the Oregon coast. It's similar to the rocky coastline of Maine only Oregon's Yachats coast includes gorgeous pine and other conifer trees. Most of it must be appreciated by foot because Highway 101 is tree lined and mostly inland from the ocean. Great to enjoy while... More

While driving up the Oregon coast, we stopped in Yachets. We visited and hiked in Cape Perpetua on the coastline. I highly recommend spending time here.

Everything about Yachets is cool, but this coastline is on the top of the list...just sit and watch. Of course, you can go active, but before you do, just sit and watch.

The Oregon coastline is lovely for miles and miles. Much of this coastline is packed with tourists and yet there are plenty of places where you can savor the beauty of the beach, rocks, Pacific Ocean, sunsets or sunrises. Yachats was one of those places for us. We arrived late in the afternoon and took the drive along the coast... More
