A Must!

Grab a boat and head out to Sandy Island for lunch. While not inexpensive, it does offer some great food and great ambiance... it's a must.

Oh my, i had read that this teensy island's food is pricey, but this takes it to a whole NEW level.... The boat there from Sandy Beach 10$ per person ( no problem here) there and back, but once you hit that island do NOT order food! Although tasty it cost us (2 people with a small boy) close to... Indeed this is Anguilla's most perfect & pristine cay to escape, matched with super delectable food that is consistent and affordable & great service. Did I mention that The Sea Gulls Wind and Waves Band always makes an appearance, never disappoints and adds to the tranquil atmosphere. You won't find the type of unique charm that Sandy Island offers elsewhere...in... More

I loved all the experience. To be taken to an isolated island where you have a nice beach, and service for food and chairs. The food is nothing spectacular, but as a whole it is recommendable. The timetable is not taken seriously by the people of the restaurant as it is not strictly by the hour. But anyway it was... More

A group of us spent the day there on a recent Saturday. It's a great day trip, complete with a beautiful beach, amazing snorkeling, lounge chairs and umbrella, a fabulous "shack" restaurant, and probably the best pina colada you'll ever have in your life. And, if your lucky, a band will be playing to add to the atmosphere. I travel... More

Had a great day on Sandy Island, and the reef surrounding the beach provided the best snorkeling we found anywhere on Anguilla...Showed up on the little pier in front of Jonnos about 10 AM and were on the first boat out after the "supply boat" went out, about 10:15...$10 each round trip, and we were able to add that to... Great location and food was very good. It is very expensive day though so be prepared. The boat trip cost, using the lounge chairs cost you and the food prices were very high but the food was good.

We decided to grab a taxi to Sandy Ground from our resort (Viceroy) and take the quick boat ride from Sandy Ground to Sandy Island. What a fun experience! You must realize this is not a rushed thing. If you order food it will take awhile, but it is well worth the experience! Loved the fresh grilled lobster, mahi mahi... More

A perfect beach spot and the lobster was outstanding. Loved the curry sauce. It could have been a little less windy.

Take the ferry "Joy" (actually a good-sized speedboat) from Sandy Ground to this small island and settle in for a relaxing time. About 500 yards long (or less), the island has some covered eating/drinking areas; nice restroom facilities and space to stretch out on the beach. Have Bernard set up an umbrella for you on your rented chaise lounge (not... More
