A trip into the past with lodging at Timberline Lodge and skiing the Palmer lift on Mother's Day last year, a day I will always remember as being magical. Imagine, skiing the middle of May, great snow, sunshine and fabulous dining at the lodge.

The lodge was packed Sunday afternoon on a 3-day weekend, forget about buying a soda, go to the Wy'east across the way instead. The lodge itself has enormous timbers and blacksmithed hardware worth seeing

One of Oregon's gems and a must visit. Relaxing in one of their comfy lodge chairs by the fire with a glass of wine and then eat at their restaurant. The view are amazing no matter what time of year you visit.

The architecture is impressive and worth the visit. The restaurants have strange hours, which makes it difficult to eat when you need to eat. Overall, clean and simple.
