As a young couple and then with small children, we skied there. The old lodge is our favorite wedding anniversary place to be. After not being there for many years we made it back to celebrate our 35th. It was perfect, our room, the food, the hospitality, the weather and of course the slopes. It felt like coming home.

Our trip to the Timberline Lodge was a day trip, to take in the gorgeous architecture and learn more about how this magnificent lodge was built, so high up Mt. Hood, at the tree line. The guided tours are only offered on weekends, so we were on our own on this weekday visit, to discover some of the special artistic... More

A trip into the past with lodging at Timberline Lodge and skiing the Palmer lift on Mother's Day last year, a day I will always remember as being magical. Imagine, skiing the middle of May, great snow, sunshine and fabulous dining at the lodge.

This is a beautiful lodge on any occasion, but especially lovely surrounded by snow in winter! The skiing is rated very high and it's not far from Portland's ammenities

I visited Mt Hood and Timberline Lodge in the afternoon. It is so beautiful and the lodge is warm and inviting. I regret not taking my ski gear, but I read the resort's own blog about the weather and they weren't saying "come on out we ski all year." The resort sold itself short on quality of snow and an... The lodge was packed Sunday afternoon on a 3-day weekend, forget about buying a soda, go to the Wy'east across the way instead. The lodge itself has enormous timbers and blacksmithed hardware worth seeing

One of Oregon's gems and a must visit. Relaxing in one of their comfy lodge chairs by the fire with a glass of wine and then eat at their restaurant. The view are amazing no matter what time of year you visit.

The architecture is impressive and worth the visit. The restaurants have strange hours, which makes it difficult to eat when you need to eat. Overall, clean and simple.
