We are repeat customers at Timberline Lodge. This family trip was a mini ski vacation for 3 days/ 2 nights. We come here for the grandeur of the great rooms, massive fireplaces, and comfortable sitting areas. Rooms and private bathrooms are small, but authentic to the 1930s period in which it was built. Beds were comfortable with thick duvets, and... More

Decided to stay here again and it never disappoints. The rooms are so rustic and authentic to when they were built. And the beds are soooo comfy. This is a great place to stay after a day of skiing.

The Lodge fills up amazingly fast. So fast, that in order to make it fair for everyone, the hotel has a 14 month maximum for reservations. You want to spend Christmas at the lodge, wait until October 1st 2014 (the soonest you can reserve a room for Christmas) and book your room for Christmas 2015. Be early as they will... More

Excellent service, friendly/courteous staff; breathtaking views, warm outdoor swimming pool and hot tub! Clean facilities, quaint and cozy rooms; only down side were that alcohol drinks in the bar were spendy!

This lodge is one of the finest lodges built on public land (National Forest System). And its beauty lies not just the physically structure. It was built by the Works Projects Administration using highle skilled atrisans and other craftsmen who were out of work and just trying to make it to the next day. Before you visit, read about it's... More

I used to go to Canada, Europe, and Japan to ski. After skiing at Mt Hood and after staying at the Timberline Lodge, I made Timberline Lodge my Christmas and Spring Skiing destination. Outstanding Oregonian people (peaceful, friendly, kind and adventurers), inexpensive hotel/lodge and lift tickets, short lift-lines, well groomed runs (Miles and miles), just right temperature even for night... We visited on a sunny Saturday when it seemed half of Oregon also had a similar idea to visit the lodge. We went just to see the lodge and have a toddy in the upstairs bar. We waited a little while for seating to become available and then sat looking at the mountain. Drinks were pricey but well done. We... More

ALthough we were only there for a short while (2 hours) we had a great time. We arrived too late to try our hands at skiing but my husband and son were able to ride the ski lift, stop and throw snowballs (we live in Florida where snowballs are non existent) and ride back down to the lodge. I took... More

My mom and I stopped here on a recent girl's trip to Oregon. The lodge was built in the '30s as part of Roosevelt's WPA program and is absolutely stunning. To make sure you fully appreciate this amazing place, take the free tour given by one of the US Forest Service rangers. They have great stories and will point out... More

We were leaving Hood River for Portland and decided to take the scenic route. We hit a few stands on the fruit loop and stopped here for lunch. The lodge is incredible. What amazing construction from the Depression Era. The lobby museum is worth visiting just to watch the videos. We had a nice lunch on the mezzanine of local... More
